Driving Hwy 2 past 70th on up. The people who take it at 40 instead of 55 and slow everyone down in both lanes.

People who make turns at 5 mph.

I’m not quite sure when this started happening or maybe I just notice it more now but in CO very few people ever use their turn signals anymore. Maybe turn signals should be an option now on new cars. Changing lanes, turning a corner, existing off a highway— doesn’t seem to matter. Do they still teach that in drivers ed?

Or how about those that are halfway into the other lane and then turn on their signal?:Cool:

Where we live, people must think it's optional to stop at stop signs. Drives me nuts the amount of people that just roll through stop signs because they can't wait a few seconds for me to get by before they pull out. I've had to slam on my brakes a few times to avoid slamming into them.

The people who drive in the passing lane all the time drive me nuts too.

Being stoned probably doesn't help in CO

The indecisive driver at a stop light makes no difference going straight turning right or left the hesitant for 5 seconds Which in turn creates a traffic jam behind them but there on to the next light

Running stop signs and lights drives me crazy also. When I get on the interstate every morning I see them slow down and turn without stopping if nobody is coming just like bicyclists. Also the second car follows the first at a stop sign without stopping again. What's up with that!! I always say that when I was a teenager long ago, people drove drunk and drag raced, but at least people knew how to stop at a stop sign!

people that come to a complete full stop when at a stop sign or turning right at a light when there is no one else around. this is important when it comes to gas MPG and brake conservation. we need more round abouts.

SoCal is like driving in an insane asylum. You have your choice:

Tailgaters on the freeway
Prius drivers that are unaware the car can go over 30
Drivers that text and can’t drive while doing so
Those that can’t signal when turning right
Semi trucks that drive the fast lane on the freeway
People that enter and exit the diamond lane at will instead of at designated areas.

I would road rage if I had to drive in Cali

Even worse is when people sit there at the light in a right turn lane and wait until the light turns green. I've been behind one of these people probably on a monthly basis at the eastbound/turning south lane at 120th and L in Omaha, but this happened three times this last week (twice they were on their phone).

I know my Prius can go 99. Caught a good downhill once on the 395 outside of Victorville. I was a little bummed she just couldn’t quite get into the triple digits.

The rest of the time it is a struggle to get it over 30.

People not using the hand-free Bluetooth feature on their car. I see it all the time - they have the phone up to their ear chatting away when I know their car has Bluetooth (because most cars made the past 8-10 years have it).

Also, when I'm on the interstate, driving my typical 5 MPH over the speed limit...I'm clearly passing someone driving the speed limit (or slower), and some psycho driving 10-15 MPH over the limit gets right on my ***. Sorry chump, I'm not speeding up for you. You wait for me to get around the slower driver and my now very gradual merge back into the right lane.

Seattle:

  • The guy that goes to the front of the off ramp merge line and waits til the very last point then just moves in assuming the other car will stop
  • Drivers that do not follow the zipper rule on merging
  • Cell phone drivers although a lot less now that they treat it as almost a dwi
  • Out of town drivers that go the speed limit or god forbid a little slower screwing up traffic
  • Aggressive trucks thinking they are in a sports car

When the arrow turns green, feel free to go. Dont wait 10 seconds before you do. The green arrow is designed for more than one person to be able to turn.

Also, on ramps to I80 dont have yield signs and they damn sure dont have stop signs. They are “ON” ramps. They arent slow down and stop ramps.

4WD drive guy going 90 on the interstate when its covered with snow and ice. I enjoy seeing your *** in the ditch 5 miles later.

I80 has 3 lanes. The left lane isnt reserved for your Ford Fiesta pulling a uhaul trailer at 50mph.

Its a TURN SIGNAL. Its not a DRIVE STRAIGHT FOR 9 MILES signal.

Finally, your music sucks. I dont need to hear it , much less feel it, at every intersection. You aren't so important that I need to know what you are listening too. I dont care. No one does. Enjoy your hearing aids at 40 though. And get off my lawn.

To add to this, people who drive with headphones in/on. Especially any type of over-the-ear headphones.

A few years ago, there was a Nebraska state senator who wanted to ban all communication devices in vehicles. The way the bill was written, it would have outlawed radios. I can't find the article unfortunately.

Construction zones - where they warn you for 2 miles that there is construction up ahead, reduce your speed, there are miles of bumper-to-bumper traffic, and some jerk comes flying up from behind trying to beat one more car into the zone. Then you get to stare at him for the next 15 minutes trying not to road rage.

Mine is an extremely irritating one that happens daily driving home on Hwy 77 in Lincoln. 2 lane Hwy and idiots who drive the speed limit in the passing lane!!. Traffic then gets backed up in both lanes and nobody can move. Simply put...lead, follow or GTFO of the way!!!
Don't they realize you might be able to save 4s on your trip :O

Yep or the girl on her phone at a stop light once she realizes everyone ahead of her is long gone then she goes and you get stuck at the light again

Ppl that ride out to the end of the freeway entrances, instead of finding a spot to merge once the dotted lines begin. Half the time they end up off the side of the road, or slow down traffic, because you have to wait on them.

There is no speed limit in Austin. The police never set up speed traps, so the speed limit signs are just a suggestion. People in my area average about 15 over the limit, even on residential streets. People resort to putting out flags and warning signs when their kids are riding bikes. Even if you're going 15 over, people still ride your bumper like you're towing them with a short rope. People pass in turn lanes, exit lanes, bike lanes, and on the shoulder. They don't know how to handle four-way stops. No one uses a signal. Red lights have become yellow lights, I routinely see three cars go through a red before someone stops (they installed red light cameras, but they were all removed due to public outcry). People do four-lane lane changes to enter/exit a freeway. People pulling out onto a busy street will try to cross four lanes of gridlock traffic, blocking 2-3 lanes in the process, rather than pull into the nearest lane. Drivers jump the double-white lines on a ramp to try to get ahead of the drivers in front of them, then get all pissed off when those drivers follow the law. Everybody is staring at their phones non-stop despite it being illegal.

In the last four years we've had a car totaled in a hit-and-run, another totaled by a texting teenager, and a third damaged by a GPS distracted driver (she tried to take a right turn from the middle lane right into me). You REALLY have to drive defensively here.

To be fair to Californians we are actually pretty good drivers. The wife and I were back in Nebraska and after about the fourth bonehead driver we encountered between Epply and the hotel on west Dodge I had to tell her "chill out, we're in Nebraska now." The first was the gal who sat through a full green turning light cycle left onto Abbot drive, finally figured the honking meant it was our turn when the light went yellow, and turned leaving the cars behind her at a red light. The second was someone doing 10 MPH on the streets west of the ballpark where you go through all the hoops to get on 480. The third was someone in the fast lane realizing the two right lanes of 80 are the ones that go to 680 north, so he just crossed 5 lanes and cut in front of us without looking. The fourth was when we took the Dodge off ramp and at the last minute someone in the far right lane realized you have to take the two left lanes to go west and he cut right in front of us and jammed on his brakes. My problem is all these people had Nebraska plates, don't they know how to anticipate what is ahead from experience?

Here in the greater DC Metro (DC, NOVA, MD and parts of DE):.

Everything. No signal, tailgating, people honking at you as you make a turn as the light turns green, slow people in the left lane, drunk and distracted, heavy traffic, fart cans, tower spoilers on a neon, fancy rims on a Nissan Versa, loud trucks in quiet residential areas, ridiculous bass, people that can't stay in their own lane, people flashing guns at you, car-jackings, people taking up 2-3 parking spots and so much more.

Get off of my lawn .

The jackasses who ignore the lane closure signs, pass everyone who has merged and expect to be allowed to merge into the backed up traffic right where the lane closes

Entitled pricks! That one makes me yell, a lot!!
