The most annoying thing for me is people driving in the left lane without passing. In some European countries it's illegal to drive in the left lane without passing. I don't know if we need to go as far as to make it illegal, but something needs to be done to encourage drivers if they are in the left lane to pass the car in front of them and move over to the right as soon as possible.

Illegal in several states here already.

I agree. But my car insurance company and their BS phone app dock me discount points for "quick acceleration", as if I'm going to just go without looking for red light runners (99.9% of the time I'm up against a turn arrow directly in front of me anyway, making it insanely easy to tell who's going to run it and who isn't.) /End rant.

And while we're talking about 120th & L, the OPD could make a killing just in that spot ticketing people for running the red.
Do you have to blow in a tube to start your car, too?

My biggest annoyance from other drivers....Anybody with any form of Iowa badging on their vehicle. License plate holder, window sticker, antenna flag, actual Iowa plates, whatever. I won't even start on their abilities to launch or trailer their boats at the lake I sometimes head out to....just add an extra half hour of wait time at the boat ramp if there's an Iowegian around.

Mine is an extremely irritating one that happens daily driving home on Hwy 77 in Lincoln. 2 lane Hwy and idiots who drive the speed limit in the passing lane!!. Traffic then gets backed up in both lanes and nobody can move. Simply put...lead, follow or GTFO of the way!!!

In Atlanta, this is actually a traffic violation even if you're going the speed limit.

The jackasses who ignore the lane closure signs, pass everyone who has merged and expect to be allowed to merge into the backed up traffic right where the lane closes

Actually, in Texas the officials at TxDOT encourage people to take up all lanes, and only "zipper" when the lane finally ends. Their logic is that the early mergers are essentially removing one lane of traffic early, making the construction back-up even worse. Still, I prefer to get over and save my spot as early as possible, but I these days I try not to get so mad at those merging at the last second.

No merging early won't make the backup worse unless there's another intersection the backed up traffic is blocking. The problem with zippering or not to zipper is that everybody thinks their way is right so it slows down traffic at the worst possible spot where the choke point is. If everybody else is merging early on an isolated highway and you decide to pass everybody to try the zipper technique, your just an ******* who's slowing down traffic for everybody.

The key to get backed up traffic moving again is to have the highest average speed passing through the choke point and allowing more cars to pass through. The zipper technique could actually slow down this average speed and cause the backup to be worse but the biggest problem is drivers not paying attention or cutting off other drivers.

The people that take turns super wide and end up the lane over, then look at me like I'm the dick for not letting them go in front of me. It's illegal to change lanes while turning people.

People not using the hand-free Bluetooth feature on their car. I see it all the time - they have the phone up to their ear chatting away when I know their car has Bluetooth (because most cars made the past 8-10 years have it).

Also, when I'm on the interstate, driving my typical 5 MPH over the speed limit...I'm clearly passing someone driving the speed limit (or slower), and some psycho driving 10-15 MPH over the limit gets right on my ***. Sorry chump, I'm not speeding up for you. You wait for me to get around the slower driver and my now very gradual merge back into the right lane.

I disagree with you 100%. I always drive 5-7 mph over the speed limit on the Interstate. When I pass a car I get around it as fast as I can and get back over to the right lane. If another driver wants to drive faster than me more power to them. I don't like to be held up and I don't like to hold up faster drivers either. I have noticed in light traffic on the Interstate when approaching a much slower car as I go to the left lane to pass they SPEED UP! What's with that? Typically it doesn't last long as I kick up the speed. Once I get around them they fade back to slowpoke speed. (In Washington a driver can be cited for obstructing the flow of traffic by driving too slow in any of the left hand lanes. Even if they are driving the speed limit. On mountain two lane roads a driver can be pulled over if they are slowing down 5 or more vehicles. Doesn't happen often, but I have seen it.)
