So no huddle but not looking to the sideline for an alternate play? Obviously route combos are gonna be different per coach. NW doesn’t run motions? I’m seeing people tout it as some new fangled offense with trying to establish the run. Note: I didn’t get to watch UCF this year. I would assume the offense looked similar to NW but with better athletes.

We are going to have to get used to open backfields on short yardage situations, occasional negative plays, etc .

I think a poster (don't remember who) awhile back said it best when they said it was a feast or famine system.

My #1 take on the videos I saw from today is if the other players look like Stoltenberg after winter S&C, then the team will pass the eye test come the first game. His neck is massive, and his traps and shoulders are solid. Not only that, the guy is cut up too.

I think he's always been an impressive specimen so I'm not sure other than maybe a little sculpting that the new strength regimen has changed him all that much. He's a beast.

People are going to crap when they see Frost's offense throw the ball 30+ times per game. "I thought Scott Frost said he was going to RUN THE DAMN BALL."
I GUARANTEE, nobody will say a word about it.... IF we are winning. Who gives a S$%^ if we pass it every play as long as we are winning, nobody should care

They should pay better attention or look up some stats. It wasn’t uncommon to see UCF throw the ball on 3rd and short.

While throwing 30+ times a game they run the football 35 to 40+ times a game... While they throw on 3 and 1 the may run on 3rd and 8... The O is pretty balanced...

Very cool article. I see Osborne's fingerprints all over Frost's take on the Kelly offense. Especially that notion of being able to make a play look just like one thing and getting the LBs and safeties to attack it until it's too late and you're watching a guy run across the goal line.

What system isn't? You do your job correctly and most offenses work pretty well. You don't do your job and you get wrecked.

Don’t assume that. I Agree with the previous poster in that You Tube is a good source to watch some UCF games. You can see the Oregon offense in his UCF offense, but you can also see where Frost has expanded the number of plays that can be run out of the same formations by using motion and other slight changes

The offense at its base isnt very difficult, the beauty is in the ability to get the defense to react to what they think is coming and adjust, which creates a numbers mismatch for the offense.

There are. Lot of good articles out there that will detail what how he has evolved what they did at Oregon.
Reading this makes me picture Shooter McGavin in the woods trying to perfect Happy's swing.

Only instead of it being Shooter, it is Ferentz trying to learn how to run Frost's offense
