anyone know if bill is calling it quits after today's game, here in southern Nebraska been hearing some rumblings it might be his last game
He is KSU, there would never be any discussion about KSU football if not for Bill Snyder. I am always perplexed how many Nebraska fans spaz out about how Coach Snyder inserts himself into much of the direction of the KSU program but have no problem with the way Osborne has always inserted his little paws into the Nebraska program? He will **** KSU anyway possible to get his son in.
Right now a balmy 1 degreeNever been to Southern Nebraska. What’s the climate like there?

How so?KSU can’t let that happen...Don’t believe they will. Sean Snyder would set back program years.
Nice post. Sounds like SFHow so?
1. He is a K State guy.
2. He understands the program. the fans, the expectations.
3. He was an All-American player for K State.
4. He bleeds, purple and white.
5. He has been there and knows what has worked and not worked the last 26 years.
What makes taking a former player and coach such a bad deal?
because TO would never sabotage the program to get his son hired....also...there is this guy named Bobby D. he actually invented Nebraska football. He is KSU, there would never be any discussion about KSU football if not for Bill Snyder. Except Frost has been a coach at multiple places. Had success at multiple places and has been a HC. He sounds more like Solich than Frost.
If KSU didn’t have two high profile candidates expressing interest, I don’t think this would be as big of deal. But they may miss their opportunity.
So now Iowa fan is taking up the cause for KSU? This has to be the first sign of the apocalypse. How so?

Coaches take all sorts of different paths. Look at Osborne, he didn't need to go anywhere else and got it done.This. I live in KC and I have yet to run into a KSU fan that is really excited about Sean Snyder as their next head coach. Most are completely against the idea.
Frost is an apples to oranges comparison. He played professionally under Gruden, Parcells, and Belichick. He played in college under Walsh and Osborne. He was a successful recruiter and coach at KSU and Northen Iowa. He helped Kelly build one of the most high powered offenses, and won multiple conference championships and coached a team that played for a national title. Then he went on to UCF, took a 0-12 team to a bowl game in his first year, and then to a 12-0 regular season and a conference championship in year two.
He’s had significant success as a coach outside of the cozy umbrella of Nebraska. Not to mention the fact he was highly sought after this past month by us, Florida, Florida State, and Miami. Sean Snyder has spent his career at KSU and has no outside experience. No one is going to be knocking down his door to hire him as an HC because his experience is comparatively limited. He’s a pretty big risk, and most KSU fans know their margin of error is significantly less than Blue Chip programs. Texas can miss for 2 decades. Nebraska can miss for 2 decades. USC, Tennessee, Florida, etc can miss for decades and make their way back with the right hire. KSU has a limited opportunity, and they know the wrong hire sets them back significantly more than other programs.

Nobody knows what will happen 5 years down the line, but we all hope for the best.
Snyder Jr. Is K-states Solich in many ways. Snyder may not be able to do the same Osborne can do though. Osborne has everyone convinced he wants no part of things, but somehow manages to have his fingers in the punch when he sees fit.You have to ask yourself the same question about Sean Snyder that you would about our last four head coaches. Would they be in consideration for the head coach at another school? If not, they shouldn’t be at Kansas State, Nebraska or any other Power 5 school for that matter.
Knock, knock.because TO would never sabotage the program to get his son hired....also...there is this guy named Bobby D. he actually invented Nebraska football.
Snyder should've been the coach pick after Solich. Nebraska would be sitting around with a few more NattiesHe is KSU, there would never be any discussion about KSU football if not for Bill Snyder. Well remember, Sean Snyder spent one year at Iowa. So this is the same kind of close, personal, BFF relationship that leads someone to repeatedly refer to Bob Diaco as "Bobby" and claim that Bobby is going to land a much better job than the one he had at Nebraska. So now Iowa fan is taking up the cause for KSU? This has to be the first sign of the apocalypse.
This time I think though Tom may have the right recipe for the punch. I'm hopeful that we're done hiring head coaches for a long long time.Snyder Jr. Is K-states Solich in many ways. Word. If it doesn't work, it's gonna be REALLY hard for people to be objective and consistent. This time I think though Tom may have the right recipe for the punch. I'm hopeful that we're done hiring head coaches for a long long time.
They have a similar situation brewing in Iowa City.So now Iowa fan is taking up the cause for KSU? This has to be the first sign of the apocalypse.
I think Snyder's got a good thing going at K-State. Who would be a better hire than Sean Snyder? I admit that I am not up on all of the issues surrounding the Wildcats. Bill Snyder has twice led a bad program back to respectability. If his son can replicate Bill's system and retain the rest of the staff, I think it's a good move.
Brent Venables and Jim Leavitt have both expressed interest in the job. They both look to be better candidates than Sean (who knows what they would pan out to be in reality). Out of Venables, Leavitt and Sean Snyder, which one is not like the others?
You can probably add Bret Bielema to the list of people who would be interested in the job.Brent Venables and Jim Leavitt have both expressed interest in the job. Which part of this do you have a problem with?Snyder Jr. Is K-states Solich in many ways. Snyder may not be able to do the same Osborne can do though. Osborne has everyone convinced he wants no part of things, but somehow manages to have his fingers in the punch when he sees fit.
None of it. You are the one who has no respect for TO and his opinions. That makes you a bad fan.Which part of this do you have a problem with?
This makes no sense. Of course I said nothing about Pelini or showed no disrespect for TO. Why do you say stupid things? Do you think they are not stupid?None of it. You are the one who has no respect for TO and his opinions. That makes you a bad fan.
Time to get on board, Blo is gone and not coming back. The Husker train is back on the rails and moving forward. Time to get on, or lose your ticket.
OK. I can see how people would be excited about those two names. I guess the next question I would have is, what is Sean Snyder like? Is he close to a carbon copy of his old man? If so, then hire the guy. Or is he another in a long line of sons who cannot come close to measuring up to their fathers?Brent Venables and Jim Leavitt have both expressed interest in the job. They both look to be better candidates than Sean (who knows what they would pan out to be in reality). Out of Venables, Leavitt and Sean Snyder, which one is not like the others?
I'm not the one constantly pining for Blo, your posting history here has shown that. Like I said, even Osborne knew he was the wrong hire and needed to go. You can always go to the YSU board if you want. Husker nation needs to move on from bad fans like you. This makes no sense. Of course I said nothing about Pelini or showed no disrespect for TO. Why do you say stupid things? Do you think they are not stupid?
