Hope you are wrong about his future record here. Obviously. I have higher hopes.
Good luck in your coaching search.
Oh, and for what it is worth, I think it is easier to recruit to Nebraska than people think.
It's my humble opinion that Frost is making a mistake leaving UCF for Nebraska for ONE reason; his style of play/recruiting. Would I personally leave for my alma mater if I was a championship QB there? Yes, I would. Although, I'd be making a mistake too.
UCF is 2-5 years away from P5 in my opinion. It's upside is larger than TCU, Boise St, etc etc. It has the #1 largest student population in the US. It's located in Central Florida, the recruiting hub of the US. It's a top 20 TV market (#1 in US city-Orlando that doesn't have an NFL team). It has better facilities than UF, FSU, and Miami already.
The ONLY thing it does not have is a P5 title. Once it does get a P5 title, I truly believe UCF will be the most elite football school in Florida.
Therefore, with his style of athletes he can recruit there for the Chip Kelly offense, I think Frost is making a mistake in leaving. He could have 2-3 more undefeated seasons and usher in UCF football to P5 the way Bobby Bowden did at FSU.
I just don't see his style of play translating to Nebraska.
Either way, UCF went 13-1 and was #9 in the country in 2013 winning the Fiesta Bowl. We are 11-0, #12 in the country in 2017. We will be fine with whoever is coach; our QB is a soph. Our RBs are fresh and soph. 3 of our top 4 WRs are soph and fresh. Whoever our coach will be is inheriting a top 15 team.
Even though I don't think it will work out at NU, I wish you guys best of luck. At least you're not UF.
