Did anyone listen to interview Adam did with Moos this morning? Very good. Maybe it was me being hopeful but seems like some of the things he said indicated that Frost is coming. Adam asked if he had talked to Frost. Moose said something like. "No, I have not gotten to talk to him. You know everything has to be done through agents now."
The second thing was Adam asked what type of offense he thought we should be running. Moos said something like, "I think a mobile Qb is very useful similar to what Oregon had. It is very hard to defend. Frost of course was there too."
He obviously never said Riley is going to be fired, he never said Frost is going to be the coach. Just some of the things he said and the way he said them, really made be think Frost is going to be the guy.

Either Frost and TO (very active lately in the media) know they will get Moos, or Moos is one of the dumbest stupid ADs in all of NCAA.

I just laugh at all of this parsing words from people trying to decide if Frost is coming-as if it's a done deal either way. I seriously doubt anybody, including Frost himself knows where he's going to be coaching next year. Why people can't just accept that and wait a few weeks, is beyond me. The incredible impatience of people to know right now what is going to happen is astounding.

People usually get that with Twitter and Smart Phones... What do you expect?

I see your point, but anybody that's been around a while knows exactly what's being said even though it's not actually being said regarding Riley. As far as who it will be that replaces him, who knows, but it seems pretty clear to me that Moos has contacted and is talking with Frost's agent. I imagine he's talking to other agents currently as well.

Were you not around the previous 2 coaching changes (before twitter) Everyone always want to know now. It was just done via phone calls and places like this.

Regarding his answer about Mike Riley, seems to me that he is more impressed with a couple members on the staff than he is of Mike Riley (big leap reading into it here though) when he said he has a couple/some/few forget exact words used who are talented.

Regarding Contacting Frost or the Possibility of doing so. Seems likely that his "network and connections" have put the feelers out to his Agent and possibly some other coaches agents out there. Obviously he hasnt had direct contact (that we know of) I do know that TO has been down to orlando recently enough when they were doing a breakfast of sorts and TO was up there praising SF who knows what was said off the stage.

Regarding the type of Offense Moos thinks is needed to succeed at Nebraska. Spread option mobile QB TE passes Hand off to rb or keep it himself. If you have payed attention to UCF it is pretty much exactly what Frost is running. He does state "i dont think Nebraska fans care how we win" he also brings up how Leach aired it out til defenses respected the pass enough to be able to run the ball well.

He uses the Volleyball team to bring up the "Tradition Coalition" about passing on the championship attitude from generation to generation of players/teams coming through the program, makes direct link to what we had in the "glory days" and what is needed again in our Football program.

Defense he wants to see stopping the run, my guess is stop the run playing zone coverage he didnt get too into detail but that is the "feeling" i got. Go with what the personnel is. Defense he hasnt quite solidified a full on "position" of how he feels but clearly stopping the run is a priority and then work with what you got.

That was my take-away

I didn't say it was anything new. But it's even worse now since there's a single candidate people have been focusing on for awhile.

Because the suspense brings us hope. The suspense gets me more excited than watching our current team on Saturday's

Ya know, i listened to it twice and dont remember him mentioning it. I do recall in previous interviews he has stressed the importance of recruiting our own backyard, and getting the guys with more than a scholly on the line in to the program. I did have my son begging for halloween candy the first time i listened to it though, and on the 2nd listen i cut out toward the end, cuz i pretty well remembered what he had said. But no unless i missed it he didnt make any mention of it.

Lol, Agree. Otherwise he is not a very prepared guy. I don't think you become a good head coach and not be thinking 3 steps ahead. Frost knows what he is doing. Guessing all the parties involved have been in contact with Frost already. He knows what is options are.

Nope no mention of it. Adams never really addressed it either. So might have just got missed. If Frost comes back. I really hope he brings with him some of the old guys back from that time. Maybe help bring back that tradition and mentality. If we get that pride back maybe the walkon program will follow

I'm liking Moos so far. He's a communicator.

We need a "win" with this coaching hire. Hopefully he's the guy that can get it done.
He also said we have a divided fan base and the next HC needs to be able to unite them. Frost is the only guy I can see that would be able to do that. Obviously some do not want him, but 75% I would so do.

I will honestly say, I have never been more excited for the the end of a Nebraska football season. The hope for change is exciting. If Frost is the guy can you imagine the excitment in the state come spring and fall. The energy will be insane

Only way we get united is Frost, OR a Big Name Success. Couldnt be any coordinator couldnt be Campbell from ISU Fuente is borderline Patterson maybe. Kelly Petersen Saban are about the only names i can think of that Husker Nation wouldnt be carrying pitchforks out and looking for Moos on campus.
