The least talented roster that managed to win 9 games the year before Captain Smiles took over. Again, two coincidences for Pelini, I guess.

I find it crazy how everyone but Pelini was responsible for his wins over SEVEN years.

We've got ourselves a BOliever here.

Hey genius, Bo's record at NU wasn't great but was far, FAR better Clownahan or MR. I couldn't care less how "nice" our HC is.

The anti-tradition coalition has been very quiet.... where are the witty zingers?

Bo left him with zero depth as a final F. You to the University. HCMR deserves one more year. They changed both offense and defense systems which takes more then one year with new philosophies. Everyone wants Frost on this board

I'm gonna start calling y'all Ri-tards..... he done--

Hey everyone gets an opinion. Its just that many will fire back and I'll be one. Bo didn't leave zero depth and the systems they changed were not that significant for most players. Our problems are basic football fundamentals like tackling, catching and blocking we are having problems with. Les miles would have to have a great offensive coordinator but I'm not sure he could recruit real well at Nebraska relative to LSU

There have been several points during the season when I have had similar thoughts. MR didn’t have much to work with and needs some time to get his players and system in place. I changed my mind after the Wisconsin game. The reasons being, first we weren’t completely devoid of talent, and honestly IMO we’re putting more talent on the field this year than we did last year. At least this year against OSU we didn’t have to put 7 walkons in the game. Bo won 9 games with this talent, if MR is really as good at developing talent as many have suggested then he should have at least similar results. I could understand if he only won 6-8 games in years 1-3, but there is absolutely no reason for him to lose to NIU, and lose in OT to NW at home.

Second, there is no visible progression of players. Is Tanner Lee really any better in game 9 than he was in game 1? What about the secondary? There has been no visible progression of Lamar Jackson or Eric Lee. They are no more improved now than they were against Arkansas State. The Oline is a complete disaster. They were in Max Protect on that final drive in the Red Zone and still got beat on a stunt which resulted in an Interception. Our Oline and Dline are constantly getting pushed around with no visible signs of improvement. That is the biggest indictement of MR and this coaching staff. There are no visible signs of player improvement from week 1 to week 10.

Finally, blowouts. Other than his temper, that was a big knock against Bo. He constantly got blown out. Well, don’t look now, but MR has been blown out by Wisconsin, Ohio State (twice), Iowa, Tennessee, for all intents and purposes by Oregon, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see us get blown out by PSU and Iowa to close out the season. If PSU and Iowa do blow us out, that’s 7 in 2 seasons. That won’t earn you another year at a place like Nebraska no matter what kind of talent you inherit.

I picked MR as worst coach ever, this assumes that we lose more than we win to finish out the season.

There are other coaches in NU history with worse records. I just don't know if they had the resources and program to underachieve at such a level as MR.
