Mike is the most current so the easiest favorite, but besides Cally. I am not sure who else would even come close in Neb history. Maybe someone from the bugeater days.

He is worse than Callahan. Callahan had us in the conference championship game in year 3 and left a load of talent for BoBo.. (Suh, Amukamara, etc.)

I'm not old enough to have seen Bill Jennings but his record was 15-34-1 so I assume he was the worst. But yeah, in the last 50 years I'd say Riley can be considered.

Bo left him with zero depth as a final F. You to the University. HCMR deserves one more year. They changed both offense and defense systems which takes more then one year with new philosophies. Everyone wants Frost on this board but I think Les Miles would do a great job. Now go ahead and shoot me. But it's my opinion.

Although Bo didn't leave a lot to work with, he still left him enough to win at least 9 games in Riley's first year. That first year we lost some games by single digits due to stupid coaching decisions. Those losses are on Riley, not BoBo
Don't know if Riley is the problem,but up 7 with 9 minutes to go,running the ball seems like it was working,run the ball and the clock,kick a field goal,go up 10 with under 8:00 minutes to go seems like the plan but NOOOO,they throw an interception and game over.

Look up our history from 1940 through the 50s. There are a few to choose from. Glassford and Jennings are a couple of the worst.

I would still take 4 more years of Riley before I would want a prick like Pelini coaching our team. That said, I think I've seen enough of Riley's staff. I think he would run a very good program with a better assistants but Lee made DL look really bad throwing that pick in FG range and Diaco doesn't appear to have a clue. Next.

He's the worst coach since Jennings but not the worst overall. This program has a miserable stretch in the 40s and 50s
Mike Riley has done more damage to this program than any coach in the last 50 years.
Clock management. One of the components that is going to cost him his job. I admire the man for his brains though. He can ride his bike in Oregon and get paid a huge sum for doing so.
Certainly the worst in my lifetime. However the sting of the Callahan era was worse. Perhaps because 5-7 seasons were a first for me.

Pelini couldn’t win with a roster full of nfl talent, yet you expect Riley to win with players that barely had any power 5 scholarship offers. Pelini was left the greatest defensive player in college fb history. Riley inherited the least talented roster this program has seen in half of a century. To me, that matters.
