I agree he is gone... but who is gonna come in right now, with a full staff?
No kidding. Any CFB assistants that are available in early November are not great recruiters, or they wouldn't be available in early November.

Sorry...meant let potential recruits know who's coming in so we have a shot at not only saving a few, but getting some help!

I know...Geneva. You're a genius! With December signings, it would be nice if recruits new who was coming in and who is staying..

The only help guys like you and myself can do for recruiting is to stop having temper tantrums on the internet and showing recruits how pyschotic we are. I mean who in the heck would want to play for fans that behave like us?

What's psychotic about this post? Temper tantrum? Seriously...

Is it illegal to reach out to a coach from another team, i.e..SF, and see if there's an interest in coaching Nebraska in 2018?

You sort of have to get permission to talk to a potential coach who is under contract to another school. Pretty basic stuff...

No new coach will start recruiting now unless they are currently out of college football, like happened with Urban when OSU hired him. I mean if Chip Kelly is dying to come resurrect our program, I say go for it and let him start tomorrow. Otherwise, no reason to do it now.

For **** sake! My whole point is firing M.R. and having someone in mind who would be made aware of intentions ( which happens in every aspect of life) and that person ( i.e. SF) giving strong indication they will fill vacancy..which happens in business every day. Then having retained staff after firing, made aware of intentions..strong affirmations, who will be taking control in 2018, so that staff can tell potential recruits what to look forward too, so when said coach arrives, the process is in advance stages!

If Moos doesn’t have someone in mind I’m not sure what he was brought here for.

Yes, Frost and his staff will catch the jet plane to Lincoln tonight. Completely abandon their 8-0 team and start putting our boys through boot camp on Monday. Done deal!
Ya, that's what I meant dipshit! State something intelligent captain obvious! At least reach out and say, we want you to coach next year! Our people will talk to yours and get the ball rolling! Happens all the time!

I get your point but it won't work like that unfortunately. This recruiting class is lost but thankfully it is small in numbers (around 15 scholarships). Like many have said on this board, we will likely make our intentions of targeting Frost known after the Iowa game. Just hope that we're discussing with his camp now to get the ball rolling.

Exactly! He most certainly does..he just needs to fire Reilly now and let recruits see change has started so remaining staff can get to work..

Lighten up a bit and perhaps change the title to the thread.

I think I get what you are saying, the problem is until you have a new HC signed, sealed and delivered nothing the assistants say will matter, as most (if not all of them) will be gone once the new HC brings in his own people. Serves no purpose to have a lame duck staff in regards to recruiting. What recruit with any brains at all would commit to a team with no HC?
