For me...the worst part of that loss was the super dork that tried convincing Husker fans that Purdue had a more talented roster and even went as far as to pull out some Rivals stuff.
IT was a FACT that the starting lineups of Purdue were more highly ranked by Rivals than ours. The kicker is I don't care who your starting lineup is if you don't have a QB and we didn't. That was what Riley was left. The game plan was ridiculous even if we were down. Now it's on him if our QB can't lead us to a win against Purdue.

Not to name names or anything, but what's jawbreakingsafetyplay doing these days?

Are you denying it? It was fact, and guess the truth hurts.
Yes, I am denying it. The skers were on the road favored by 9.5...guess who had better talent that day. You have to be a huge dork to think otherwise.

Also, I totally want it posted again since it is Purdue Week!

Being favored has zero to do with how the players were ranked coming into college by recruiting services.

Yeah yeah I know...please post it! PLEASE! I know Vegas LOVES favoring the team with the worse players.

I can't wait to crack up again...Purdue, that loaded *** team...that had 2 conference wins in like 3 years. I can't wait!

Gotcha.... so you're saying Purdue has BETTER players than Nebraska being they are favored. Also Nebraska is on schedule with whqt Vegas predicted at the first of the year. They obviously know the TALENT LEVEL on the team. Would you agree with that statement?

Yes...
This year Purdue has better talent and coaching. This is why Riley is set up to pull off HUGE upset.

On a side note, Bo lost his 3rd game in a row last week to UNI. No need to worry about him making the FCS playoffs at this point. Once he ran out of Nebraska transfers, he's back to normal.

Yea he's no good. He lost to the #3 team in the nation by 3 in OT. Another game by 3 on the last play against the #9 team on the road and by 5 to the #13 team. We are losing by an average of a zillion at home now that Riley is losing all Bo's recruits.

Exactly. The more time MR has here the worse everything gets with his recruits & coaching. .

Not to get too sidetracked, but if Youngstown wins their last 4 they still have a decent shot at the playoffs

Bo's last 3 were a 3 point loss at #4 South Dakota, a 3 point OT loss against #2 ND State and a 5 point road loss at UNI, they are still ranked 21st despite being 3-4. They get #16 Illinois State at home then finish with the 3 worst MVCFC teams.

FCS is perfect for Bo, little attention, able to get into the playoffs with 3-4 losses.

That whole argument is so false - How many starters were playing ahead of higher rated players - how many players on Purdue were freshman or soph - way too many variables to just make the statement they started more talent than we did - hogwash

The team that played Purdue was more talented the reason we lost that game was TA was hurt and we had god awful coaching

Seems like a somewhat recently graduated journalism guy put together a spreadsheet and used 5.0, 0*'s to calculate the walk ons. The 2-deeps were used, independent of who actually got playing time. To make it worse, our normal mods ran and hid. Mod Metalbrain (or whatever his name was) came in and went on a ban-a-thon.

The argument was that this justified our losses to Purdue and Illinois. Classic blame the players from the Mike Riley fan club.
