You're an idiot. That's a great time slot. #1, it's 8 pm locally, so great for the fans there, they can hang out all day and see a night game (because it's hot as hell there too, remember). #2, I can watch football all day here, cook/grill/etc. without the stress of MSU football, then lay on the couch and fall asleep to our game. Probably will get a good many eyes on it as it will be a game that will be on most peoples' TVs after the primetime games end.

We have way too many clowns like you who just want to hear themselves *****. Maybe you're just trying to impress somebody?

One thing is for sure….that game thread is going to be off the rails from the get go with asinine commentary. Everybody hitting peak inebriation from 10 plus hours of drinking before we even kick off is going to be something.

They are marketing for the West Coast. Pac 12 vs SEC. Leach coming back West. A lot of story lines out there. Big TV market. I like the time slot. Good chance I am there.

Depends on whether I make the trip or not.

I am planning on it but taking a new job so some things are up in the air. The night slot will help me get there

What exactly were you expecting? Arizona went 1-11 last year and we will probably enter the season unranked.

But…. Isn’t 8 PM the Prime Time slot for PAC 12 games? Sounds to me like they are treating it like a nice Inter-Sectional PAC 12 vs. SEC marquee sort of game. And all of the Unequally Yoked Husbands can watch the Bears play with their wives and also ALL the real Bama fans with MSU signs in their yards living in Columbus, Mississippi can watch both games.

I agree. It’ll be fun to watch a game at the level of hammered that I normally save for the Hawaii game.

It is a player and fan safety issue. Arizona schools do not play day games till October or November. It's too hot and dry. People would die.

I love falling asleep to late night football. This is great that we have a rooting interest and will definitely stay up and be fired up for all 60 minutes.

This must have started fairly recently. The Pac 12 and Big Whatever play a lot of non conference games and U of A used to love to schedule those colder climate teams to play during the day in September.
