Why in the world to they still have restrictions at all when vaccines have been going to waste for several weeks now if not more. They need to be tarred and feathered.

Surprising because I heard this a.m. that Hinds, Rankin, and DeSoto lead the state in total cases. As liberal as they are I would think they would look for any excuse to keep it locked down. They didn't say that was a per capita stat though so those 3 leading isn't a huge surprise I guess.

All three counties are doing better as far as getting inoculations are concerned.

Neshoba is the per capita case leader in the state which is no surprise considering the Choctaws have been badly affected.

They are three of the four largest counties. I am surprise Harrison County isn't high.

There's not much about DeSoto County that I would call liberal.

Fauci said yesterday that he expects the CDC to relax masking recommendations for indoors gatherings pretty soon, if not imminently, as more and more people are vaccinated.

Then a few minutes later, he said he expects "seasonal masking" to go on beyond the covid pandemic.

I know a lot of blacks in the Jackson Area and they are not liberal. They share many of the same ideas as me. They are just loyal to the Democratic Party. I am good with that.

I wouldn't have thought so 15 months ago, but I can definitely see that happening here, if by "here", you mean decent sized cities.

I know a good number of people that are voluntarily masking up even though they've been vaccinated, and even one that masks up after having had Covid, and then being vaccinated, and says she is doing it to protect herself (even though it's just a cloth mask). So I think there will be a decent number of people in cities, particularly ones relying on mass transportation, that will mask up for flu season. Hell, if I lived in a city and relied on mass transportation, I'd probably start keeping a stockpile of N95 masks.

I don’t wear one anymore. Fully vaccinated, your chances of reinfection are very low so your chances of spreading go down even more. Everyone by now or very soon has the opportunity to be vaccinated. It’s on the unvaccinated to take the risk.
