We play Bama twice, Tennessee and LSU. We have to have 2 upsets in those games. The rest of the 8 games are all teams we should be able to beat. So I will give them room to lose 2 of those games. Those expectations should be pretty reasonable for this team. That would maybe put us on the bubble.

We don’t do well against teams we should beat. We do well against teams we shouldn’t. Our three losses are all to teams without a winning record in the SEC. only one of our wins is against a sub .500 team in the SEC. the other three are against teams doing well

Per JoelTColeman (woo..), if we go 6-6 over those 12 games, it'll be only the 2nd time in program history we've won 10 or more SEC games in three consecutive seasons.

I'm not seeing six conference wins left on the schedule. 7 of our last 11 are on the road, and the majority are against teams that are flat out better than us or have already beaten us. I think we'll beat Iowa State who is atrocious and then win 2-4 more league games but that's about it.

The NCAA bubble talk can just go ahead and stop. We don't even have an NIT resume right now. The most optimistic predictions only put us at about 17-10, and that seems very unlikely with a team this inconsistent. You're probably looking at a team that will finish with 13 to 15 wins, hover right around .500 overall, miss out on the NIT.

We can talk about how we'll likely finish higher than 12th place like we were predicted to (Yay? Hang a banner?), but the fact of the matter is we've played the easiest part of our schedule and barely scratched .500 out of it. If we wanted to be in any kind of contention for the postseason we needed to be 6-1 at worst, which we were more than capable of doing. But you know, Ben Howland and such.

Would be a misleading stat even if we do manage to go 6-6. We play 2 games more than we did back when we had a decent basketball program.

I say we go 3-9 at best over that stretch unless Howland makes some serious adjustments. The "walk it up against the press and chuck up a bad shot with the shot clock running down" offense is as exciting as watching KJ Costello run the Air Raid.

We will 100% win more then 3 out of the next 12. Common

I hope you are right. That piss poor effort from the top to the bottom against Ole Miss soured me a bit on this team. I was pretty optimistic (for me anyway) prior to that game.

I like watching Molinar and Stewart and think they will be in the NBA one day but I can't shake the feeling that they will split after this season and we will be starting over next year so it is hard to get excited because I don't feel like we are building toward anything. Of course this is a problem with all of college basketball and not just MSU.

If Bama skull drags us,

I'd say we are done.

This team needs to learn how to fight...(I mean be tough, game in and game out)

We are better than this... Not showing consistent toughness.

I’m incredibly frustrated with the results of the Texas A&M and Ole Miss games. That’s a problem with Howlands teams. With that said, only 3 more wins the rest of the season is an incredibly low bar. Probably more of a frustration post then reality. We are 4-3 and won some games we shouldn’t have vs Missouri (who is in the top 25) and UF (who’s pretty respectable and beat down UT). It’s really just a consistency issue (that has been a problem). They can beat anyone, and lose to anyone as well. They are capable of being really good tho. Just don’t see them as 3 and 12 type bad in this stretch.

I wouldn’t say we are done. Bama is going to skull drag a lot of SEC teams with the way they shoot the 3. Hopefully some how they are cold.

We are soft. Women are too. Alabama will beat the brakes off us at home. We will be lucky to go 4-8.

This team doesn’t play soft. You have no clue what in the hell you are talking about. Soft teams don’t come back from 14 down and win by 15 against a top 15 team. Especially after a game where they lost a tough one in double OT.

They are inconstant on offense, and that’s on Howland. Soft is a ridiculous description. Typical they play well after a loss

I disagree. Even in wins they fade late. Yeah, there are anomalies but. . .
