State billboards featuring “Leading Our State Forward” are going up on I55 and throughout MS.

It’s a kinder and gentler, This is Our State. - which was a nice play on referring to MSU as State and our love for Our school. I say we go back to This is Our State.

For one brief shining moment, we really had our **** together. We got rid of LT and brought in the Ninja, pushed Polk out, pushed Croom out, made better hires, updated our branding, and beat Ole Miss three straight times and rubbed their noses in it with the "This Is Our State" campaign. It's one of the best marketing campaigns we've ever done.

My favorite one was the "Three In A Row From Our State" billboards that celebrated the Miss Mississippis.

How much are billboards anyway? What would it set me back to have one that says Go to Hell Old Miss on every road in and out of Oxford?

My wife hates any road trip we take through Alabama. Every time we pass his billboard I have to say his name. It cuts into her napping ability.

I think it was Godfrey who said billboards are Mississippi's version of the Paul Finebaum Show

You're saying his name about every minute or so then - no wonder she's irritated. He's the epitome of an ambulance chaser.

Digital is more noticeable than paper. I suppose it would depend on how often your stuff is shown and how long the exposure if $20/day is a good deal. Sounds pretty affordable though.

I wonder what advertisers had to pay for the big board at DNF back in the day when ads were incessant.

The one I saw was an Outback Bowl champion billboard. I-55 in Ridgeland. Not that it matters. Let them put up whatever they want. Who cares?

We should put one up saying we beat the number 24 team in the country twice in one afternoon. The rebs can't compete with that

Someone told me he has a deal that he will take any vacant billboard at half price, and once the billboard company sells it to someone else at full price, he comes down and they go up. So basically he just occupies the open ones at a discount until they are filled up. No clue how accurate that is.
