hopefully maroon lids and jersey, and white pants.Anyone know color combo? I like the all maroon uniforms.
Good lord I hope not. As bad as the white helmets are, they're even worse with grey pants.
no moron trousers....ever...in no combo whatsoever
Spurrier used to make them wear purple in Gainesville
I just wish one time a home team would make LSU wear maroon. Home or road they wear white.

Maroon-Maroon-White would be my guess. That’s what it should be at least. Gray pants would also be acceptable. But maroon helmets are a must. No more of this wearing white lids the majority of the time like Joe did last year. White helmets should be worn at most one of two times a year, and only on the road as part of the “stormtrooper” look.
I hope we get the Banner Mstate off helmets and hats, etc ASAP. We have so many great Vintage logos to use that are way better than Banner Mstate. Leach is about to bring national exposure to us weekly for hopefully the next several years. Now is when we should brand the better helmet and logos.
I do not understand our university being so stubbornly fixed on banner Mstate.
At the very least Flying M for a retro helmet game, to go with the whole air raid. But banner Mstate is just the worst logo in the SEC.
only reminds me of Larry Templeton. That was his logo he smeared across all sports. Remember when they tried to put it on the baseball caps? I still gag a little thinking back on that. We need something with a bulldog. Embrace one of the coolest and well liked mascots in sports. I want people to view us as the Bulldogs. Not the M-Staters.

Here is the true story of the M-State logo.
Richard Williams hated the MSJ logo (the pre-Nike one) and was always trying to create something basketball only. The track team was hosting a meet and Marshall University was there. They had an early version of their green M with Track written across it. Richard Williams was good friends with Al Schmidt at the time and had stopped by. He called the SID and got him to get everything from Marshall. Williams talked LT into it and the M-State concept was born unofficially and used in basketball only.
If you remember, the first M-State painted at the center of the court replaced the weird SEC logo/24 that Jeff Malone donated and never paid for. Funny thing about that M-State is that it was not proportioned right (not square) and looked terrible. (See it in the video here: https://youtu.be/gPhbxZCzNxw?t=695)
Anyway, at the time we were a Nike football and track school. All the other sports had their own contracts. Prior to the 2002-03 basketball season, Stansbury inked a deal with Adidas. Just so happened that the 2003 football season was the great falling out with Nike and the retirement of Sherrill. Adidas wanted a full contract then, but Russell (who was losing Auburn) made a bid that LT couldn't turn down, so we had a five year deal with Russell.
Contrary to urban legend, Nike does not "own" the interlocking MSU that was used in the late 90s/early 00s football. LT just phased it out in favor of the M-State. It was used for a time by Midwestern State in Texas and Montana State, both non-Nike schools. We won't put it on a throwback helmet because they know that people will love it and want it to be permanent.
