Exactly. You can’t even imagine a scenario of that happening. WG is a 17ing criminal and I’d rather go 5-7 next year without him than allow him to stay on the team. What a nut.
If you have to think too hard about who instigated this, if you can shake your head and it doesn’t rattle, I’ll send you a blank check.I love watching that nut play defense. I'll be happy watching him next year.
You have no idea what happened on that practice field (and neither do I). To be suggesting dismissals is silly at this point
Most reasonable people are judging by history, i.e. Gay's previous actions. As they should, it's the smart thing to do.Has it occurred to you that WG may not have been the instigator? No clue what happened this past Friday or who is to blame, but supposedly this isn’t Shrader’s first time getting into it with someone...
Regardless, it’s safe to say he may need to do some growing up this offseason.

Was it during practice or after practice in the locker room ? Or was it later that night ? Just one punch thrown ? Either of them actually break any bones ? I have not seen any info on this anywhere but on this site.
If Shrader is as bad off as many say, there is no way in hell he had his helmet on when he got hit. That’s all I think we can say definitively.

I can’t imagine that scenario. But that might say something about #6 on offense.
Well I have heard swollen eye, broke orbital socket, broke hand all mentioned. During practice as well as after....so it sounds like a story being told by the old women from church. The only constant is which two players. If he called him the N word and had a fractured orbital socket and wasn't making the trip surely it would be reported on some reputable site
There is absolutely no justification for that type of behavior regardless of what Shrader did, unless it was self defense.
I'm in no way saying Shrader was in the right because I don't know, but regardless of what Shrader did, Willie's actions were unacceptable.
That's the problem. To-date, there's no proof of Shrader having done anything, yet there's a lot of proof out there of Gay being an idiot on and off the field. Even still, you're still here questioning Shrader's character and saying he needs to grow up, and giving the Gay the pass.I never said Shrader is a bad guy or that Gay hasn’t done some dumb stuff over the past 12 months. Just saying that Shrader is very talented, but if he wants to be a great SEC QB and leader, he needs to learn to how to maintain his composure and manage emotions better on and off the field.
That, Tutorgate, multiple other dumb personal fouls, and then this alleged fight with our starting QB.Gay takes his helmet off one time after scoring a touchdown and that somehow morphs into him being this habitual dumbass for a couple of you ********. The OP trying his damndest to kick off our best player.

Rumors, yes. Proven facts, no. Gay has plenty of proven incidents.I don't remember multiple dumb personal fouls just the one for taking his helmet off which was a horrendous call by the ref anyways since he was already on the sideline it appeared. Wasn't there rumor on here that Shrader was suspended for fighting once this year already? OP calling Gay a 17ing criminal and needing to be kicked off is way outta line.

Both are at fault but if Willie doesn’t deck Shrader in the face then this is just a minor scuffle after practice that stays behind closed doors and nobody knows about it. Now it has turned into a potentially bigger issue if it causes Shrader to miss the bowl game.
It should not happen on any team with a good leader. How many black eyes do you hear about on Saban's teams? Or any of the best coaches teams?
LMAO!!! Just about every year. We are our own worst enemy sometimes.

HERE IS SABAN talking about it.

"We put a table in the middle of the field and put boxing gloves on the table. If a fight broke out at practice, you took your helmet off and the gloves on and we watched a fight!"
That's in a game when intensity reigns. Saying that excuses this in a non game situation is absurd.
But I can wait another 11 months.

Shrader was out there laying it on the line against K-State and other games while Willie Gay was standing on the sidelines with his thumb up his @ss because he was cheating in Bonehead chemistry....Willie should be greatful that he has the opportunity to be still playing at MSU.
