What is the ceiling for WBB?

We aren't the team of the last few years, I think that's a given. So what can this team do? I think a Sweet 16 would be a good year.

Final Four. With an understanding that it’s a young team. No Reason to believe that they can’t do it again.

Like last year, will depend on regional placement, and who gets home court.

The sites are Portland, Greenville, Dallas, and Fort Wayne. Clearly set up for Oregon, Baylor, USCe, and ND. Notre Dame has already lost twice. Assuming the committee will again give those four teams home court, regardless how they finish, Fort Wayne may be easiest route to Final Four.

It's kind of hard to say right now because teams change during the year. It's a weird year in women's BB because some of the usual powers aren't as good this year. Oregon and Baylor are the only teams that I currently see as a lock for the Final Four.

The ceiling? National Championship. Any team in the top tier can get hot/gel and win it. We're still in the upper echelon.

This. No reason whatsoever to think anything less is the ceiling. We may not be as likely to get there, but our chances are perhaps only slightly slimmer than just about anybody else.

Best team does not always win. We were better than ND.

When do we play Stanford? I don't see them on our schedule. Is it possibly at the tournament in San Francisco?

Not much of a measuring stick tonight, but our reserves essentially outscored Murray State.

They didn't just outscore them, they beat the **** out of them.

We just beat a team Louisville beat by 36 by 81 points. My perspective on how good we can be changed tonight. No limits.

So we just beat a team by 81 that Louisville beat by 36, scoring nearly 50 points more. I'd also bet 4 figures right now straight up that we beat TAMU in Starkville this year, likely by double digits.

I think Sweet 16 is the expectation every year at this point under Vic. To say that's the ceiling is selling them short, IMO.

We would beat Maryland right now. It's a draw right now with Louisville, South Carolina, TAMU, and UConn.

YES, I agree. Would have beaten ND 7-8 out of 10 times. No doubt in my mind and it makes me mad, frustrated and even sad. It has got to be one of, if not the most frustrating moments in Ms State sports history- along with the immaculate deflection but with much more at stake.
Maybe this is the year.

This is my feeling as well. We’ve at least been a NCAA Tourney host and made it to the Sweet 16 in 4 consecutive years. Been a 5 seed or better in five consecutive years. WBB right now is on a different level than any other program we’ve ever had at MSU, baseball included.

I think anything less than the Sweet 16 would be somewhat disappointing barring some major injuries. I simply don’t believe there are 16 teams better than us.

With Vic, the expectation should be final 4 every year. It’s like Saban in football ya’ll. FINAL 4, begin to expect it. If you don’t expect it, how can you believe it.
He is the real deal.
Man, That beat down last night.
