you can never take a grown man serious when he wears a fedora on the sidelines of a football game.

It's not a fedora, it's a porkpie; Which is worse, IMO.

Just read an article out of Jersey where they did a poll at Rutgers and got 6000 votes. Joemo came in #4 fan choice. It was Schiano, Al Golden, their interim coach and then Joe

I want him to stay but tbh I'm concerned he might never figure it out. Change is not good for a program and we changed all the coaches before 18 and a bunch before 19.

Its home for him. If I was him I would give it serious consideration.

Please stop with the "home for him" stuff. It may be a lot closer, but New Brunswick is 350 miles from Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is a lot closer to Cleveland or Morgantown than anywhere in Jersey. If you were from Starkville, would you consider Thibodaux, LA "home"?

I dont know what Moorhead considers "home", but Fordham is in the Bronx and he played and coached there. Rutgers would be a more familiar area to him.

I guess I was wrong. Says he was born in Pittsburgh but I know he played and later coached at Fordham.

But I'm sure I would consider it home if I played QB at Nichols State for 4 years and then later coached there for 5 or so years. Esp if between that I spent some time in Germany playing QB over there. That's just me tho

Let's list the P5 schools that would be closer to "home" for Joe.

Pitt
Penn St
West Virginia
Ohio St
Maryland
maybe Virginia?

And how many of those jobs are coming open any time soon?

If I'm from Starkville and currently head coach at Pitt, fans aren't happy, and I want to coach at a P5 school closer to home... I'm probably going to consider at least 5 of the SECW teams close to "home".

Hello all,

Been a reader of the board for many, many years. Finally decided that I could contribute. Just sharing some info that I found that you may or may not already know about. One of the writers for Scarlet Nation (Rutgers Message board) posted on their VIP site. Here is the gist of what he said:

“Scarlet Nation has learned that there is mutual interest between Rutgers and MSU Head Coach Joe Moorehead.” He went on to say that this is something that has been brewing for several weeks. Also said that his source told him that several current coaches on MSU’s staff are already looking for a landing spot for next season.

Now Steve is pretty much the only reporter that is adamantly denying this Rutgers thing, but I believe that there is more to the story. There is too much being talked about for there not to be something of substance there. Just wanted to share with you all. Thanks! Hailstate!

crap like this only creates recruiting fodder that negatively affects us. DELETE!

Neighborhood dawg and myself are Russian assets sent here to sabotage the free will of the people on this board thru a disinformation campaign using a series of servers located in a basement in the Baltics owned by Hillary Clinton.

I thought you were operating out of the men's room in Dorman.

Any and all negativity that is expressed on this board creates recruiting fodder that absolutely affects our program and our recruiting. No kid wants to commit to a program that is under attack by it's very own fans. Stability is much more desirable

yes because message boards are the biggest problem with our recruiting. **

Just had a linebacker from Tennessee decommit. Said he didnt like the white helmets Joe was making us wear. Not fashion forward enough for him

For the ones that want him fired he is gone and no longer our problem, and for the ones that didnt want to fire him he left on his on accord so less harm to the program overall.

Except for the embarrassing perception that an SEC school had its coach poached by the State University of New Jersey. That will definitely be used against us for years to come.
