That was 18 months ago and Stevens was the backup not getting all the starter snaps in practices. Moorhead is a damn idiot or KT must be. No other options.

I think there are plenty of other options. Stevens could just be better than KT. Regardless of who is better or not, Stevens has more time in the offense.
It must be pretty 17’ing difficult, Moorhead doesn't seem to understand it
It is not difficult. There are numerous articles out there confirming that it is based on simplicity. It does, however, require the quarterback to make great reads in the passing game, where Mullen's offense required it in the running game.
I have seen people comparing this offense to the Croom Coast Offense. While funny, it is not realistic. Croom expected NFL level reads while at the same time being a bad coach himself. Moorhead and Mullen are both pretty good coaches.

People need to relax if they're worried about Croom 2. Yes, Moorhead's inability to adjust at UK was extremely Croomish, but we destroyed bad teams with Moorhead's system.
Every team does this until they can get Top 15 level talent.7, 6, 3, 0
Those are our scores against a SEC defense with a pulse. Thank goodness for an elite defense or the margin of victory in those losses would be and look much worse. I think we will continue to beat the bad teams, struggle against the top ones, and coin flip with the others, but what else is new.

Expectations are useless. We have no choice. You either do it and win, or do it not, and be average or lose. And do you expect us to get top 15 level talent?
There is another option. You could be the idiot.
I'd call that the likely scenario.

Our entire offense couldn't grasp it last year yet we're gonna bring in Stevens 4 months from our first game to run it?

Do you still drive the speed limit while in the left lane of the interstate?

You've already told us you speed and drive in the left lane, both of which are illegal. So yeah, go on and skin that smokewagon.
