The Athletic has Dawson Knox projected as a 2nd round pick in their mock draft. I thought he was only a junior? Would be another blow if he jumped off the sinking ship as well.

That guy is a good player. I think they have Octavious Cooley behind him, who should still be a solid TE. That's one position they won't be hurting too bad at next year.

Stidham also declared. Makes the K. Bryant sweepstakes more interesting. Gustav and the preachers are hard to beat when it comes to traveling QBs.

They've come out swinging and flinging on recruiting so they are trying

desperately to turn things around as quickly as possible. I hope we have the will to step on their neck.

This is what's going to be fascinating, once KB signs with Aubie all those State fans who didn't want him will be blaming JoMo for the one that got away.

Wonder how many of them look back with regret and wish they could exchange their bowl and the season of winning that got them there for a chance to go back and get their asses beat 62-7, 45-16, 31-16 & 35-3 by their "not rival"?

Out of curiosity, would any of you want your NFL team to spend a 1st rd pick on him?

A loss in Week 1 at Memphis basically eliminates them from bowl contention. If they start 0-1, they will have to win at least one of these games to reach 6 wins:
@ Bama
@ Missouri
A&M
@ Auburn
LSU
@ State

No, no way, no how

Too many good interior D lineman, O lineman, and edge rushers to risk a first round on someone whose production fell off considerably once DK was out and he was the go to guy. If he falls to second, sure, but he's not sure fire enough for a first and not the game changer other positions could be.

I know scouts love him, but when I see him, I see a possession receiver who struggles to get open against tight man defense. Lodge and Metcalf took the top off of defenses and made Brown look a lot better in the middle of the field, but he looked a lot more ordinary when Metcalf got hurt and Lodge was limited a little by injury.

If I were an NFL exec and needed a WR, I'd be looking at Lodge before Brown. I think he has the biggest pro upside. I think Metcalf will have a better pro career too.

AJ Brown will be an Alshon Jeffry type. Great hands, good size, but struggles getting open against aggressive, man defense .
