At this point, rumors should be discouraged! He messed up, Joe ain’t playing around and this is most likely not news to anyone on the team so let’s move on to Saturdayvwith key. Fitz better man up and not let the missed reps from Saturday cost us for the K State game.

If it happened in March then they’ve known all along that Nick wasn’t going to start the opener and have planned accordingly. Doubt the team feels any long term effects from this.

Anthony Dixon was suspended the first game of Mullen's tenure and Boobie went on to have a career year. Hope the comparisons stay true.

Not good though. Fitz really needed some live action on that reconstructed ankle before playing a real opponent in Kansas State.

A QB in a new system needs a lot more live reps to get comfortable than a guy just running the ball. Especially one coming off a major injury.

The players voted him team captain after spring, so I agree it doesn't seem to affect their view of him. On top of that the coaches brought him to media days, so that has to show there isn't a deeper issue. Joe was pretty definitive that he would be the starter against KSU.

Well, Anthony Dixon and Dan Mullen have absolutely nothing to do with Fitz and Moorhead. Just found the parallels between then and now to be humorous.

Another difference to go along with yours is that Boobie had no counterpart on that team, while we have a QB who should slide in nicely in Fitz' absence and if that shall slide further into the season.

Probably bc he was hanging out with Marshmello. Must have smoked a dubie with him before he played his set at the music festival.

He's not going to play more than one half anyway. Game reps are important, but he's a senior.

I’m pretty bummed, I was looking forward to the whole team playing Saturday...and was it over a failed drug test from March? Geez, seems like suitable punishment could’ve been levied before now.

He’s going to miss what.... a half of football? I guess there’s a concern that he will be rusty next week against K-State, and it’s disappointing in general, but it seems like this isn’t that big of a deal. At least now he can’t get hurt in a meaningless game.

Any chance of a Wally Pipp? I have read/heard nothing of KT this fall, but if he made normal strides of a true frosh to a sophomore, he will be pretty damn good this year. He can spin it, but does he have the grasp/understanding of the game to unseat Fitz? You miss a game and the door opens, ask Romo...

No. If Fitzgerald is healthy and not suspended, we're a 1-QB team and he's the guy. Thompson is a very good backup and will be a good starter next season.

No, but you best believe that if KT has a big game on Saturday, some on this board will demand we bench Fitz the first time he throws an interception. Fitz would have to be having an absolutely terrible year in order to get benched.

Yea, I mean to me, it’s not about how bad we beat SFA...I was looking forward to seeing Fitz heathy and in this new offense getting going.
