That was the rumor a few weeks ago when the portal opened lol. Also Johnson and Moreno don't count because they are Kentucky kids. I wonder what the response would of been had Johnson and Moreno committed to one of the other elite schools. " Pope can't even keep the Kentucky kids here".

I think we can do away with the Pope can't recruit nonsense.

I’m not sure if “recruit” is still the right word for how player acquisition is done nowadays. It’s more like negotiating business transactions.

And, yeah. Pope appears to be very good at it.

I heard LmdCat is no longer considering a starting point guard position at UK. Might consider assistant head coach but must speak to family and message board friends before deciding.

Pope is going to miss a lot of kids in the transfer portal the next couple weeks.... I don't understand why he isn't working hard enough.

Yeah I'm so glad he recruited our starting PG who has a career FG% of 38% and a career 3 PT% of 29%. And I'm so glad that he recruited our starting SG who has a career 3 PT% of 33%. Can you say 40-0.

But but but he didn’t get any rail skinny freshmen from out of state with a low number next to their name that may or may not be able to play college basketball right away!

It's because he is sincere in what he says........that is what makes him a good salesman......
