Taking pictures with Cohen

Probably checking to see if his name was removed as he asked.
They should rename OU Stadium/Swayze Field after him. THAT is the park he built.
If we would have had some GA seating the poor old man wouldn't have had to stand for three innings. The poor thing had to work color for Jim just to have a place to sit down. ***He spent pregame and first 3 innings or so standing in left field corner mostly by himself smoking a big See-gar. He posed for a few selfies and talked to some staff but mostly just watched by himself
Nope. He hung on WAY too long and drug our program down badly in the 2000s. He should have retired in 1992 or 1993 when he first tried to. Then with the fit he threw when we hired Cohen, he burned every bridge there was as far as I'm concerned.Even after all his antics when he left, I’ve still got mad respect for the man.
Polk himself did not do this. He was simply doing what he thought was right, regardless whether or not you agreed. LT was the one that made the idiotic decision to bring him back. But then again, LT was just doing what he thought was necessary too. Goes on and on. I still blame LT more because he had a chance to make a great hire and didn't, while Polk was just Polk, at least he went to Omaha.Nope. Polk did not want to come back. LT begged him. LT was freely telling people this at QB Clubs/etc back in the mid-2000s like it was some big accomplishment.Polk deserves his share of the blame as much as, if not even more, than Templeton. At least Templeton may have actually thought Polk would give a **** about trying to win games the second time around. Polk would have known that he didn't.
Interesting that Polk was only 53 when he retired the first time and 57 when we rehired him in back in 2001.
Many of our fans would be over the moon if we hired a 56 year old Corbin, yet I don't see anyone discussing the risk with hiring a guy who is already at that stage in his life. No way his best years are still ahead of him, similar to when we begged Polk to come back.
A former baseball player said a security guard asked Coach Polk to put out his cigar. To which he replied, "This is my stadium."The 'no smoking' part of the stadium certainly did not apply to Polk

Polk wanted to hand deliver Raffo's letter of recommendation**
