Poe, Finn and Rose screwing up? Not sure why you are choosing only them to single out for failing. Every single character in the film failed in their task.
Did you guys not catch this? Yoda even discusses failure. It was a theme in the entire movie. Learn from you failures. Especially your failures.
To me, Rey didn't screw anything up. She trained and got stronger with the Force. Maybe failed at getting Kylo Ren to turn to the light? Maybe. Even if she did it was Rey and Chewy distracting the Tie fighters at the end and destroying all of them and then Rey saving the few remaining living members of the Resistance using the Force to pick up the rocks so that they could all get out of the base alive.
Kylo Ren earned himself a promotion by killing Snoke and taking over the First Order. Yeah, maybe he failed to kill Luke and all but 20 people in the Resistance but he succeeded a lot more than he failed.
Poe nearly got the entire Resistance destroyed. He cost them all of their bombers and he hatched a plan that failed when Leia and Admiral Holdo already had a plan in place and didn't tell him because they demoted him for being impulsive. At least I assume that's why they didn't tell him. Finn failed because he got caught and didn't even get the master codebreaker that Maz told them to use. Rose was along for the ride.
Contrast that to Empire where:
Luke lost to Vader but in doing so he created a diversion that allowed his friends to escape.
Han got caught but it was because he was double crossed by Lando. In the meantime he got them out of danger with both the Empire multiple times and the weird space creature that ate them for a little while.
And I'm not saying that their characters need to be perfect and everything that they do should work out every time. But I am saying that they would be more likable if they did it at a higher rate.
