What's everyone's thoughts on Poplar? He just entered the transfer portal.
Wooga Poplar

I anticipate he’s gonna be real poplar in the portal
I don't have any inside information, but that would certainly add up.
Pretty solid guard, one of the only good outside threats Miami had and when he got hurt they crumbled as we all saw. He was instrumental in their run 2 years ago I believe. They had Wooga, Isaiah Wong, and Nigel Pack was the star.
Would be a pretty good nickname for my tool.
If we get him, everybody needs to chip in to ebay some old timey 20s car horns to properly equip the student section.
He’s tall as a tree. They’ll be sad when he leaves. He really sprouted this year.
I think Wooga will be sought after by several teams, but by your comment, I think you may have him confused with his cousin, Mega.
Miami was one of the handful of teams that were worse than us on Defense. Probably a system thing, like it was here. I can't imagine a player being that athletic and not being able to play Defense if properly instructed. Even half assed defense would be better than watching guards get beat and praying a big could swat a shot or two. Sorry about that soapbox...that spot is still a little tender, I reckon. Wooga can play, though.
Man. Names have really evolved over the years haven't they?
I was impressed with Poplar when UK played Miami this season. He scored 19 and showed a lot of ability. Nigel Pack is the ballyhooed Cane who contributed zilch.
I agree and Poplar seemed to be the only go that showed up in that game.
Man imagine we could have had Ugo-Wooga, damn!
No more Isambard Kingdom Brunel names
Fun to make a all-name team from the available portal/unsigned lists. Would be great to hear the announcers cover this team:

Most kids have normal names like buh lak ay, Jay qwellin, dee nice and A A Ron.
- Full name is Nisine Hamir Poplar, but goes by Wooga
Great minds....lolOur brains are similar, exactly what I thought of
I think lots of parents name their kids after cartoon characters. Some very odd names ,
For a lot of these folks, it's a play on their ancestry, but they don't even know where the Atlantic Ocean is.
