ESPN: Its Pope

[Jirao_rivals62259]

[Wunky]

This is genuinely awesome. I’m pumped!!! LFG!!!

[StubbornPenny]

This is a mistake. Golden should be higher on the priority list.

That’s Thamel’s real Twitter too.

[jessieshorts8]

This is genuinely awesome. I’m pumped!!! LFG!!!

Your name suits you.

[Catscratchfever8]

Fake lmao

[FiveStarCat]

Holy ****. Mitch and our boosters (or anyone else involved) suck so much ***. Absolute joke

[Catfan2226]

This got to be a f$#@n joke.
Tell me it is a damn joke

[MWes11]

[Wunky]

Your name suits you.

So does yours dickweed. SMELLIN ME SOME CONE-BREAD BAAAAAWSS.

But back to the topic at hand, you do realize we probably keep Reed now right?

Sorry that your greasy pig AARPearl was not considered. Dude ain’t past his prime… he never was prime.

[RoyKent]

Effing massive mistake. WTF?!?!

[MidseasonTweak]

Wasn't Scott Drew supposed to have a presser yesterday?

[ukfan693]

I’m sorry, but this will be a disaster.

[jwheat]

Definite upgrade. Let’s go

[mash_24]

I was totally against Drew. Mostly because i thought it was ridiculous that he was the first offered. I don’t believe there is meat to this, but I’d support Pope and take a wait and see attitude. He’s one of our own.

[Noxium322]

Fire Mitch!

[TheAnonymous13]

I tried to hint in the zagoria thread that this was unfolding. Sorry folks, as I know y’all are not enthused. I actually think it will be a very successful hire.

[Cold Stout Beer]

Fake lmao

That came from Thammel Twitter with 292k followers. Poor baby!!!

[StubbornPenny]

This is the most Mitch thing ever.

I hope it works because I like Mark Pope. But this is a poor gamble even if it magically works out.

[Cold Stout Beer]

Can’t wait to see what his assistant staff looks like!

[*Fox2Monk*]

This is genuinely awesome. I’m pumped!!! LFG!!!

Not the worst hire but there are other candidates I would have preferred.

[David Rice]

[BlueRunner11]

Mitch should’ve been fired years ago. This is unreal.

We just hired a guy who has never won an NCAA tourney game. Besides the UK connection, someone make it make sense ??

[Dr.LutherSan]

[Tubbyfan78]

He def deserves a fair shot. Barnharts legacy is on the line with this hire though.

[EliteBlue]

I tried to hint in the zagoria thread that this was unfolding. Sorry folks, as I know y’all are not enthused. I actually think it will be a very successful hire.

I’d said previously he’s an option and would likely be solid but Pearl should have got an offer first imo.

[TortElvisII]

This is a last resort thing.

[Cold Stout Beer]

Lots of extra money now for NIL.

[RalphDaltonFan]

I tried to hint in the zagoria thread that this was unfolding. Sorry folks, as I know y’all are not enthused. I actually think it will be a very successful hire.

What makes you like the hire? Just asking, not criticizing.

[Jirao_rivals62259]

Just wait till Pope finds out one of his players was having Sex instead of Soaking. Hes gonna be stunned

[Wildcats1st]

Matt Daugherty we will be sec doormat

[Stan the caddy_rivals218342]

Worst case he can stack our roster with 25 year old Mormons.

[ukfan041]

This is ******* pathetic

[DreadLox]

I see people haven't put these into storage:

[SBKY]

BYU did beat Kansas, Iowa State and Baylor and had a close game with Houston last year.

[BigBlueManSouthCentralKY]

Shocker. Have not kept up with him much. Can he recruit at a high level? How does his offenses and defenses rank? What style of play? Over Donovan? Over Pitino? Is he on their level coaching?

[BlueRunner11]

Stoops: Y’all hiring?
Mitch: You bet. Hired.

Pope: Y’all hiring?
Mitch: You bet. Hired.

[BGCATFAN2012]

We are Louisville now. I thought for sure our University had the right idea of what the fans expected but BYU was a nice story but what has he done to earn this UK job.

[tls]

Will support but rather have Golden even Buzz before Mark

[Thunder Mash]

WTF is this ********?

[johnc17]

Poor hire. He should be on the hot seat day 1. No offense but this smells like BCG all over again.
