If Cal did actually do all of that, I'd be okay with 1 more year. Not because I think he's gonna win, but I see zero home-run hires that are attainable.
1 more year is destroying the program even more and the same coaches will be on the board. No homerun hire is just going to show up after next year. Another year only difference the buyout goes down

I've said it repeatedly already. They will spend 1-2 million on a restructuring of assistants to include an offensive/defensive coordinator rather than 33 mil in monthly installments.
He'll convince Reed and Edwards to return and go from there.

I honestly didn't know what Bruiser's role on the team was. Since he just sits there silently chewing gum during games. But his UK Athletics bio says:

"Flint, who played a key role in Kentucky’s game management and Xs and Os as an assistant in 2020-21, has taken on an increased responsibility in game planning, scouting opponents, and helping Calipari formulate the team’s approach in practices and in games."

It goes without saying he needs to be shown the door if he had any input in scouting and game-planning. We looked woefully unprepared in almost every game. I bet he'll be the fall guy. If Cal's staying we may as well ditch Antigua too and bring in someone that actually knows how to coach/develop players/gameplan. Other than recruiting, I'm not sure what he actually does. He was a ****** head coach.

But yeah I think you're right. Mix-up of assistants, promises of changes to BBN and coordinating the return of players to appease the fans sounds like what's going to happen. I think we've got one more year of Cal unfortunately.

You cal cult guys are some of the biggest idiots I’ve ever seen. Don’t message me again moron.
Cool. I literally said I want Cal gone and your response for a number of folks here is to call people idiots and morons. Do you want to be a part of a discussion or act like a child who isn't used to talking to others? Just how old are you? I'm nearing 40. If you're older than me and you believe it's acceptable, cool, or makes you look great throwing out the same couple of insults, then I don't know what else to tell ya. In life someone really can't get anywhere with someone else who just keeps yelling "idiot" and "moron" over and over.

I’m not even reading your posts. You tried talking to me like I’m stupid in your last post and I stopped reading immediately. I take it you can’t read? I don’t wanna talk to you,

But there’s no maybe if he to it
He’s done and …maybe he has early dementia or something..but he doesn’t seem to get it

He needs to go now
I was thinking the same thing about Cal having early signs of dementia say he will not know his name in a couple years so sad to see a person get like that

I hope that’s not the case. It’s sad to see people go through that

What a defeatist crock of ****. How difficult would it it be to find a coach who loses every postseason game? I’d imagine it would be pretty damn easy…
I’ll do it for 2 years at Cal’s salary and retire on my own!!!!

Pretty irresponsible thing to suggest imo. That's a devastating disease and not something to start a rumor over just because Cal hasn't been winning the last few years.

There may not be a glaringly ‘better’ option , as that’s been discussed on this board a lot . People are saying Donovan , Few, Stephens….stuff that isn’t happening. It’s gonna be someone most will feel is pretty dull and won’t excite , but that’s part of it , really . It definitely won’t be someone that gets top 3 classes , etc
Spot on post!

On Twitter you got Matt jones saying their is no better coach then Cal available, which is crazy after what’s happened recently. Then even on here you got random people that I rarely have seen on here trying to get people to buy into Cal hiring different assistants. They don’t wanna pay the buy out and got their puppets on board with trying to persuade people on social media into wanting to keep Cal around. SMH
Seems like Matty Bangs is hedging after his talk the last 2 days of how Cal needs to go.

Same exact thing here. I think from a risk assessment view it's less risky. The buyout decreases, it gives us more time to see how the coaching landscape looks for a replacement, and it would at least be fun having Reed back. I'd roll the dice on that. Plus, if the impossible happens and we actually in it all having the Sheppard household involved in three of the last four titles would be one of the coolest things in college basketball history.

Cal is gonna have to do a lot more than bring Reed back. He's gonna have to return half of this team, and lay off recruiting this incoming Freshman class, because it's not even a good class. He's gonna have to attack and load up on the portal. There needs to be a list of demands set in place, and Cal has to meet every one of em. It's time to put the fans and this university back in 1st place. The end. Otherwise, don't run it back. It'll be more of the same.

Ok I just read the tweet where he said we didn’t have a better option right now. Watch and see though if they start talking about firing assistants and “Cals a changed man” ******** you know what’s up
Cal only has a couple guys left in his corner. I’d bet Seth Green berg is one of the only talking heads that will say he should return.

For me it's Reed, Edwards, Thiero, and Z and I can see myself being tricked into getting excited again.

He’s in a tough spot. I’ve never had a problem with him, but if he makes people mad in the athletics department it would be hard on him to be able to do his job.

Seth is just being a good friend to Cal. What he says on tv and what he thinks privately could be two different things.

Yeah but there are different standards when it comes to Kentucky Football. I think everyone should boycott Calipari if he returns.
Stoops isn’t exciting but he recruits at a high enough level and NIL is strong enough for us to win 8-9-10 games in a great season. Not many coaches that would come here and do that consistently.

Then every season ticket holder should refund their tickets. Let Rupp collapse.
I hate it as bad as anyone because I’m done with Cal but until fans stop filling rupp up a change is not a priority for this administration.

Had that idiot blocked a long long time ago. Not the least bit shocking he’s a Cal lover. He manages to be wrong about every single subject. Pretty impressive actually.
