I honestly didn't know what Bruiser's role on the team was. Since he just sits there silently chewing gum during games. But his UK Athletics bio says:
"Flint, who played a key role in Kentucky’s game management and Xs and Os as an assistant in 2020-21, has taken on an increased responsibility in game planning, scouting opponents, and helping Calipari formulate the team’s approach in practices and in games."
It goes without saying he needs to be shown the door if he had any input in scouting and game-planning. We looked woefully unprepared in almost every game. I bet he'll be the fall guy. If Cal's staying we may as well ditch Antigua too and bring in someone that actually knows how to coach/develop players/gameplan. Other than recruiting, I'm not sure what he actually does. He was a ****** head coach.
But yeah I think you're right. Mix-up of assistants, promises of changes to BBN and coordinating the return of players to appease the fans sounds like what's going to happen. I think we've got one more year of Cal unfortunately.

An awesome crowd didn't help in Nashville so pretty sure the crowd barely registers on the program's issues. I seem to remember the 2023 Crowd was amazing as well but UK got bounced by Vandy in the first game.

One is a Dukie, and the other is a full fledged Cal homer that is paid to work Camp Cal every summer. Seth Greenberg is basically the last national media member that still defends Cal.
They could announce the return of Wall, Mashburn, and Issel and it isn’t going to change Cals approach to half *** coaching and underachieving.
Seems like Matty Bangs is hedging after his talk the last 2 days of how Cal needs to go.
Cal is gonna have to do a lot more than bring Reed back. He's gonna have to return half of this team, and lay off recruiting this incoming Freshman class, because it's not even a good class. He's gonna have to attack and load up on the portal. There needs to be a list of demands set in place, and Cal has to meet every one of em. It's time to put the fans and this university back in 1st place. The end. Otherwise, don't run it back. It'll be more of the same.
Cal only has a couple guys left in his corner. I’d bet Seth Green berg is one of the only talking heads that will say he should return.
For me it's Reed, Edwards, Thiero, and Z and I can see myself being tricked into getting excited again.
Mitch has bosses, too, but he did UK in this position. We'll eventually end up with the same problem with Stoops.
He’s in a tough spot. I’ve never had a problem with him, but if he makes people mad in the athletics department it would be hard on him to be able to do his job.
Seth is just being a good friend to Cal. What he says on tv and what he thinks privately could be two different things.

Stoops isn’t exciting but he recruits at a high enough level and NIL is strong enough for us to win 8-9-10 games in a great season. Not many coaches that would come here and do that consistently.
