the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.
Contraire, mofraire...I always thought that integrity WAS doing the right thing. What a freaking idiot. Surely he meant that differently. I always told my players, "Integrity is doing what's right when nobody is watching." Obviously, ole Hugh doesn't see it that way.
But when it does it comes with a Nutt.Correct. Owning it never comes with a but.
I haven't noticed Hugh himself saying he owns any of the wrongdoing, but more the 'program' as a whole. He's carefully wording that sort of thing. I think he says it generally but the vibe I noticed from him is that he's saying he can't control everyone and the 'mistakes' were outside of his control. He keeps saying "He owns it", and then goes on to explain how none of it is his fault. That's ain't "owning it".
"Integrity, I had to re-evaluate. Integrity is not always doing what's right. I used to think that, but none of us would have integrity if that was really how we define it because I doubt any of us have done the right thing all the time. Integrity is when an issue arises. You own it and move forward."
