-August-west is 5 years older than the average GYERO poster but posts like he’s 72, we’ve already been over this. Five years ago when he was like 43 he was talking about hanging out with his grandkids and whittling wood while skipping our games and watching American pickers. Pretty sure he had his first kid when he was 12

-Just left the Ohio State Fair. Jesus. Those carnival games are ******** too FYI. It’s a scam!

-Youngests 2 year birthday today. Planes theme. Man the time is a flying

I don’t whittle, thank you very much.

It's the freakin weekend randoms:

According to the commercials, Hims cures any ailment you could have while also making your pecker stiff. Some of you limp dick mf-ers could probably benefit from that.

Football reports have my pecker stiff.

Wyndham looks like such an awesome course, would definitely be at the top of my list of places to play.

Speaking of golf, good luck to Killa and BBdk this weekend in the Eli. Chase too if he hasn't died in a tragic fire incident.

Imagine having to clean up all the drool from the senate floor these days. Props to the janitors over there for all their hard work.

Swift giving $55 mil in bonuses has to be one of the coolest things I've ever seen a celebrity do.

Taking the 7yo to fan day tomorrow, he's as pumped as I am. He'll probably watch the actual practice for about 10 minutes before he's playing football with the other kids there.

Just put together an incredible looking fruit salad. Blackberries, raspberries, grapes, blueberries, strawberries, and peaches. #drool

Enjoying the new Justified.

Those of you with younger sons, if you think Daddy Ball and insane coaches are bad in youth league/travel baseball, you're in for a real treat when your kids start playing Youth Football. Jezzzzzzzzus.

Why's that kid first string QB? Well it's the coaches kid.
Why's that kid who keeps fumbling the ball the first string RB? Well it's another coaches kid.
Why's that kid who keeps making mistakes and tripping over his own feet the 1st string linebacker? That kid's dad is a coach on the older team.
Why is that kid who can't even run 5 yards without getting winded on 1st string? Well, his dad is cousins with one of the coaches.
How did they decide whos first string before even laying eyes on the kids? Well that's all done before practices begin and we see the team. We know who the performers are. (Rolleyes)

Maybe that's how county youth rec football is done these days, but it certainly wasn't in good ol Shelby County back in the day.
Doesn't change a lot in high school sports as far as I can tell so far.

My kids high school has a girl who is starting JV soccer, or first one off the bench who barely knows the difference between a soccer ball and a football. Asked one of the other parents who she was? That is the athletic directors daughter. Oh I see.

Couple of freshman starting on Varsity? Yea their parents are big donors and heavily involved with the team.

Coach or donate if you want your kid to get playing time whether they deserve it or not.

Also, I donated $5000 to the little leagues but only on the premise if my son isn’t a starter then he doesn’t start. My money isn’t buying his undeserved playing time.

Either work for it or get out of the way. We picked on the kids that only played because of their parents money or coaching position.

For $5K my kid is starting pitcher and batting 3rd.

Seeing how other towns have gone against distilleries and protested them, I’m hoping for a little support in return. We have been recognized for throwing several pool parties for the leagues including last years seniors that won state. The whole program includes 5-6000 people out here and so far they all love our support and are on our side.

I’d like that to continue. With our niece in soccer and the high school asking for help, and now my little guy in baseball I’m sure we’ll help there too.

I need the community helping us and supporting us in return, instead of what I’ve seen previously where hundreds of people show up to a courthouse in protest.

But I’m not doing it for my sons playing time.

Speaking of nepotism, I was thinking the show runners for Justified: City Primeval did a helluva job casting Raylan's daughter. Turns out she looks just like him because her name is Vivian Olyphant. In this setting, nepotism worked very well.

Damn, Wynn out here bustin’ knuckles instead of popping gummies. Glad you’re safe bud. Let’s stay inside the house the rest of the night.

Green egg smoked 14 lb brisket turned out pretty good. Probably put a little too much seasoning on it, and the crust where the pooling of juice occurs wasn’t what I wanted, but the tenderness was spot on and overall I’m calling it a success for the first try.

For $70 at Costco (including the bottle of rub I bought) you can feed about 20, whereas that would be around be around $170 at a BBQ restaurant. Of course I had to get up at 5:30 AM to cook it and I took the day off from work to man the green egg. You can’t really put a value on drinking your first beer at 11 AM while enjoying the smell of hickory smoked goodness in the air, but it’s worth more than what I would have been paid today.

This was all for my wife’s family. I also always do a big Christmas thing for them too where I make gumbo and serve imported New Brunswick Canada oysters on the half shell. Somebody brought a JELL-O mold this time. I thought that was a nice touch.

Please tell me where I can feed 20 people brisket for $170?

I need to know, TIA.
You know, I just assumed brisket cost about $17 a pound (cooked weight) at a BBQ restaurant because I sort of remembered ordering it at that price several years ago. So 10 lbs (cooked) at $17 equals $170.

I looked at Martin’s BBQ website. Pulled pork is $17 a lb, but brisket is $27..99. So I stand corrected.

-Beautiful morning in the Bluegrass for a dog walk this morning. Of course I’m flying to Florida right when it cools off here.

-“Dolphin Cruise” Monday scheduled, in quotations because we just really want to get on the boat and drink beers for 4 hours. The water is 98 and I’ve seen dolphins 148,648 times so not really worried about anything but feeling the breeze and a cold cerveza in hand the whole time.

Will be the first time catching a drinking buzz in 3 months and I'm ready, I’ve earned this mfer.

-Staying with Florida mom tonight and the gal pal the rest of the week. Nervous about that, as I can see what’s happening already with this gal. Last thing I need is to start dating someone the second you’re the new guy in town. <——being that guy is always awesome, every gal is like sweet this one is untouched so far lol.

-Just hoping to fly back with at least one job in hand is about all I want. Looking forward to meeting the landlord bro and seeing the new abode.

On way to beach for our week… Old Carter AW, OFSBBS, 2 different Dettlings made the cut. 5 Cuban sticks…golf clubs as I’m playing some track my nephew rated high.

Older son is driving his GF in the my vert. He’s wearing his couture cabana wear ‘outfit’… The drip is douchebaggery personified. Tyler Herro would be blushing. I hope his fraternity brothers mock him mercilessly if he wears this ******** at UK.

OTOH I’m riding ***** in the other car, playing DJ / typing to CatPaw whilst wearing my Coach K collapsing T-shirt. Forgot about this one. No doubt I’ll be offending a Dookie or two.

For some reason, we have packed less ****.

Personal trainer kicked the ever-loving **** out me yesterday. I’m sore AF. Superset this, gimme 5 more… your shoulder must be injured, let’s do this instead. 20 more. Forget cardio hamster crap… over to this medieval torture machine - 10 more. Good. Squeeze. Push on the outside of your grip …Talk to Aga for diet…hour up.

She actually taught me perfect technique. I needed this. Charlene never skipped a leg day. Holy mackerel she is a strong woman.

Traffic. Jesus.
