I don’t know if Cal will leave or not. To be honest, I’m on the fence if I want him to. I get the criticism, he is far from a great X’s and O’s Coach. But he has historically done very well with classes like the one coming next year. At the end of the day I really want to see this group play here. In terms of him leaving though, I just can’t see him going to Texas. It is without a doubt a football school. No matter what Cal does he will always be second fiddle to the football coach. I just don’t see his ego being onboard with that.

Just reading a ton of stuff, knowing how he is and just a gut feeling, I think Cal really would like to get our program where our program should be before he leaves. That said, I think if this be the truth, I would think that he would start playing the guys that should be playing the most and quit playing the players that should not be playing any or much. Fans know who these players are. Fans know when his priority is prepping players for the pro's over what is best for the program to get the highest seed possible to win a championship. If he isn't willing to put the program and team over a few individuals then he needs to go. If he is willing to change and do what is best for his TEAM, the program and fans then so be it. We can see it and that is all we want.

No idea. That’s a good point. I also wonder why a recruit was asked to wait until the season is over before they sign.
Asked by who? Mitch? Hahaha…your posts are getting more ridiculous by the minute.

There’s a recruit that wants to sign with UK but not with Cal? Someone at UK asked him to wait and Cal doesn’t know about this???

Good lord these posts are stupid.

Looks like Dr. C was spying on calipari and team for the Knoxville trip per KSR.
People can act like nothing is going on with Cal all they want. BUT, when your bosses boss decides it is time to spend the weekend with your team on a road trip, anyone who understands ANYTHING about organizations and chain of command, know this was not a pleasure trip for Dr. Capiluto.

It was a BUSINESS TRIP.

What would cause Dr. Capiluto to get face to face with Cal?

Some of you are clueless about these things.

Coupled with the Mitch Barnhart interview on KSR...a few too many coincidences. But hey, people believe what they want to believe. Only time will tell, but some are too stupid to get that. Wait a few months and let's see. I honestly wish OP hadn't started this thread. I knew he was gonna get crucified.

Yes, it looks contentious.

Reminds me of an old saying, "Sometimes there's too many coincidences to be coincidental".

Doesn't have to be " contentious."

There was an article written in the national media by Kyle Tucker outlining issues between Cal and MB, both of whom report to Dr. Capiluto.

People in Dr. Capiluto's position do not take second hand information from " messenger" reporters.

They go DIRECTLY TO THE SOURCE and get a first person account of the man's issues.

I'm sure Dr. Capiluto left that time spent with Cal and the team with a clear understanding of where Cal stands and whether or not Cal WANTS to be the coach of UK next year.

Dr. Capiluto will take it from there and I doubt that anyone from Cal's camp will be airing anymore dirty laundry or personal grievances through Kyle Tucker articles in the news media.

I am SURE Cal came away with a clear understanding of where Dr. Capiluto stands.

It amazes me how some people bash Cal and Mitch for not having a good relationship and that Cal doesn’t get along with anybody.

Then the president follows the team to Knoxville and from the pictures I’m seeing nobody is walking on thin ice. Cal is the one who brought it up that he made the trip. Mitch tweets congratulations to Cal and the team on the win and says he looks forward to packing Rupp Arena on Tuesday night.

Now that it seems everybody’s trying to get on the same page “it looks suspicious.” Maybe the president was giving Cal the attention that he thought Mitch needed to.

Whoever wants Cal gone that’s your right and nobody can blame you for your frustration. But say what you want, it’s in everybody’s best interest that Cal gets this straightened out and moves forward as the head coach and you can bet the president feels that way with his contract.

And all that could be true. It could also be that along with that truth Dr. Capiluto could’ve said “despite everything - you’re our coach - and I am here to support you.”

And you truly believe Dr. Capiluto drove or flew to Knoxville, spent the entire trip with the team, even ate team meals with them, all to just say, good job Cal.

OK.

It’s also possible Eli smoothed some things over , let Cal know where he and UK. stand and things are different now than they were 3 days ago . It’s possible Cal was able to discuss some things/concerns he has overall with him , etc . One things for sure , ‘Cal leaving’ rumors have made it up the chain and likely Eli flat asked him . Eli doesn’t want to be caught blind with his bball coach bailing on him

Probably just wanted to try some Ole Smokey Moonshine and grab a bite to eat at Paula Deen’s, IMO
Is that what I said?

Not everything is a conspiracy.

I’m SURE he wants answers and wants to keep an eye on Cal.

But they certainly seemed perfectly happy together after the win.

@JRowland 18 pages of hearsay that 💯is not good for the long term of the program. At what point are clicks worth more than integrity
So you going to go around and report all the threads you don’t agree with. Are the Wheeler threads “good for the program”? What about the “fire Cal” threads. I could go on. Here is an idea, don’t like a particular thread? Don’t participate.

Wheeler threads and fire Cal threads are opinion and pretty typical for BBN and their fake infiltrated fans. You presented your thread as 💯fact and coming from within the program, those are not the same.
