There are no orthopods currently sitting on the Board and from your handle, you're neither Barnhart or an assistant AD. And it's still the first part of January. While I hope you're right, color me more than a little skeptical of your assertion.

I read Ortho's posts. Supposedly someone "in the know" inside the UK athletic department shared very delicate, inside information with Ortho and then essentially okayed Ortho posting it on a non-paywall message board. I hope Ortho's assertions are true, but for reasons which should be obvious at this point, I'm not buying it. Reasonable minds can differ.

I think we need to change the culture here. Get a leader that gets good players builds them into a good team, and guys that actually want to be here. Not guys that are here just passing time until they can leave. Those guys don’t give a crap about what UK basketball stands for. This is not directed at all our players, but definitely some. Prima donnas running around playing twice as many minutes as they deserve trying to impress scouts and NBA people ain’t getting it done. Next year could be a better year for sure with those players, but then what will the next year look like? Who knows. Stabilization and rock solid results year after year are what UK basketball has been for me for my decades of watching.

Kentucky isn't building a successful team around Reed shepherd. He will be one of many pieces but most likely never the piece. We are still gonna have to recruit some bigger guns and transfer portal studs as well.
Maybe Cal should have gone to Booker/Ulis in the Wisc game but Booker was in the midst of a major slump and hadn't played well all tournament. If not for a missed shot clock violation, UK more than likely wins that game. If they had won, they would have steamrolled Duke in the finals like they did UCLA earlier in the year. Not sure how that is Cal messing up a team that is hightly touted.
Has anyone seen the line for tomorrow's game? I'm guessing it may be a new record.
Could very well be right, best for the long run. Just hate not seeing what a team like that could do, even with a bad floor coach.

If so, he should resign now. Much of his or anyone's departure is due in large part to the wishes of his wife, not wanting to see him constantly maligned so he's stressed or unhappy, or in this case, the counsel of his daughters.
He doesn't look well to us compared to ten years ago because this does wear on anyone who takes this kind of job (however, Nick Saban seems to be doing quite well sustaining the highly successful fortunes of Alabama football). On one hand, I know it's stressful, and feel for him, but this general malaise in our program has literally been happening for eight years. How much longer do we tolerate mediocre performance (largely due to his philosophy of NBA/players first as opposed to a more laser-like focus on championships and winning games)?

Not to argue or make anyone mad but as that season wore on our team became more offensively challenged. Cal abandoned the platoon and coached tighter than a bulls *** in fly season. Our offense was putrid from January on. It’s Cal’s crummy coaching. No good structure and players feel his tightness. That’s the point I was trying to make.
Well, he/she does make it clear in their handle info that they are Vindictive. So there's that.

Go back and look at the scores...they had little fall off in scoring production...they had some low scoring games after Jan. They also had low scoring games before Jan. The fall off isn't nearly what you made it to be. Through the end of December, they averaged 75 points ppg. From Jan through tourney, they averaged 68 ppg. A difference of 7 points which isn't a lot especially considering the quality of opponents towards the end of the season is going to improve especially when you include the tournament. Our offense was far from putrid.
