I love this team Grom but they missed 12 free throws. Typical Cal team. Cost us in 2011.

I like this team and I’m optimistic. But it’s WAY too early to start thinking about #9. It would be a better than great day if / when we get it but I’m gonna take em one game at a time. 🤞

Don’t knee jerk react. Too many did last year and we went home on a loss to a 15 seed. Need to see more and how cal handles PT. UK can put the best 5 in the country on the floor but I don’t trust cal to do it.

Part of me feels like this team could go cold from 3 point land... even though we have the shooters.

If the defense can improve further it will get my confidence up

I know most UK fans, yes, even the ones who strongly dislike the man, hope this team becomes Cal's 2nd title winner.

I will say, this team has quality players through the entire roster. Even the guys I thought wouldn't likely contribute, namely Thiero and Onyenso, are contributing. It's just a good sign. Now I know we need to recognize this was a MEAC team tonight and we need to hold our horses, even if they do look like thoroughbreds. 😀

But I guess the reason it's hard to contain the excitement about this team is because we've seen some good teams throw in some clunkers against teams like Howard. And the fact that these guys performed well without 3 key players is a big deal. The freshmen are looking to be living up to their billing. And Antonio Reeves is much better than the most optimistic fan could have imagined. Everyone is contributing.

Cal just has to get the 2nd. He gets number 3 and everything before it is justified and all past transgressions erased. Cal goes down as one of the greatest CBB coaches of all time. I won’t accept a 20 year tenure with one title. That’s ********. It’s title number 2 or bust for Cal. Cal with 3 or 4 titles. After 2012 I thought it a certainty. Going into 2014-15, I thought it was a certainty. I can dream about 3 or 4 sure, but just give that one in hand. #9 was in the air tonight though.

We have a great chance this year. But the 3/4 titles? I doubt it. Next season is going to be a young team built around freshman from an underwhelming high school class. And i don’t expect Cal to stick around for another 10 years. I think he hangs it up before we make that long awaited return trip to bloomington.

Waaaay too early to even talk about what could happen in March. So many variables, ups and downs, twists/turns, etc. yet to come. I'll be very cautiously optimistic. But, as always this team will have to overcome Calipari's offense to be successful at the level we all want. Remember, it took the best player at UK of the last 25 years to get Calipari's his first title.
