I really liked Kenny Payne at UK but who’s to say he isn’t like the Vince Marrow of basketball? The players love him and you can’t be their best friend when you’re the head coach. You need to play good cop/bad cop and he seems like the type that wants to be good cop all the time

And if anyone still wonders if the Wagner kid is or was considering UL can now put that pipe dream to rest.
It is going to take more than DJ Wagner and Kenny Payne to turn that mess around.
I think he can do it, but it is not happening soon enough for their fans.

Arkansas is talented but lost all that experience. They will pull it together to a degree but don’t see them making a serious run at the SEC title.
I thought the season was lost last year after losing to Hofstra and getting blown out by Oklahoma too, but yeah starting three freshmen against a senior-laden team didn’t work out well

Lmao. At what point is having UoL a waste of time on the schedule? What can we learn by winning by 40 against them?
We won’t learn anything, but, eventually they MIGHT learn their place in this “rivalry” & possibly even stfu for a little while. On second thought, they’re too stupid to ever realize how dumb they look & will probably just double & triple down on hiring trashy douchebags to hurl F bombs at UK.

Payne is going to suck at Louisville. I’ve always said he’s a classic number 2 guy, he never looked comfortable taking over for Calipari. I don’t think his competitiveness or nature is suited to lead a major program. Louisville rolled the dice on that trying to get some of UK’s mojo as a program, and thought if he works he’s a former player which stabilizes them. Is also think they thought he might pull Wagner too, so it was worth the shot. I mean why not?

He’ll be fired within 3/4 years. I don’t see him recruiting there, and I don’t think he’s a great coach. He’s a typical assistant that does well in his role. Can’t believe so many UK fans thought he would be a good hire, and I used to laugh hysterically when people actually suggested him as Calipari’s replacement. Only on rafters lol.

Mike Tomlin is another one. His Players love him and opposing teams and fans love him, lol.

I hope Louisville loses every game but it's complete BS to make judgments about KP's coaching acumen after his only game coaching. Let's wait awhile before making pronouncements about how much of a success or failure he'll be. I think we owe him much for his time here. Louisville is going to be a f#cking mess for awhile. And pretty laughable to bring up Mike Tomlin as a failure when he has been the exact opposite his entire career. I can only imagine why you randomly pick him out of the hat

I’m a lifelong Steelers fan and I believe it’s getting close to the end of the road for Tomlin. They need so much right now to get back on track but I’ll watch and pray they win every game like I always have
But I also believe the Steelers organization has historically been successful because they didn’t fire coaches every couple years too

Had no idea you were a Steelers fan. Dumb luck on my comment. Looks to me like Art Rooney II has a loser mentality and just wants to make money. His Dad wanted to win win win.

Who Dey!!!! Yes stability has been a huge thing for you guys. But I agree it may be time for a change... I don't think Pickett is the answer either IMO.

My take was Kenny is a nice guy, and prolly good recruiter, but you have to have a mean streak in your backbone somewhere to make your dogs behave. Derrick Rose had a you tube posted on here talking about how Cal kicked him out of the gym. Love and kisses will only go so far.

Louisville fans will end up saying this was Cals plan. That Cal had KP reck the program from within. Its all Cals fault.
