They are going to be terrible, I thought they wouldn’t be great, but getting beat by double digits to a D2 team is really bad

They are clearly going to suck. I’m just sick of hearing we can’t read anything in to these exhibition games.
Oh I agree I was joking, the people acting like Tennessee beating Gonzaga by 20 isn’t big deal are crazy, and Texas beating Arkansas by 30 isn’t a big deal, exhibitions can show clear problems the team is going to have

Yeah I think Arkansas should be nervous after that one. And the Zags are about to run into a meat grinder in a couple of weeks.

Maybe. There are times though where a team like Santa Clara beats UNC early in the season and they wind up winning it all. I think UK barely beat Athletes in Action or some **** in 2003 and they were great. I can't think of any better UK examples. 🤷‍♂️

Arkansas is talented but lost all that experience. They will pull it together to a degree but don’t see them making a serious run at the SEC title.

Gonzaga has no rim protection at all and can’t guard anybody, and timme gets into foul trouble a lot. I didn’t watch Arkansas but saw they got beat by 30, they have the guard they had last year to get them 30 points every night, but they will probably end up being good

I know '96 squad lost one of their summer games that season.

All that said, losing to a DII is worse than losing to Evansville or Santa Clara, etc. I know it is pre-season but that is really bad.

Looks like Louisville’s season ended before it started. Can’t see their team doing good this year. Payne will have to take the heat this year and hope he can beg some recruits to sign for the future and do well in the transfer portal. Personally, I don’t see him lasting long there.
He might be ok if the ncaa closes their case against u6 fairly soon. hard to recruit with that crap hanging over the program. 😿
