NBA starting this week …Sharpe first game on Monday night
He’s always been an absolute specimen in practices and HS. But so was the Dragon. That next level is no joke so we’ll see what happens.

I have lost most of my hate toward him but I will admit I still don't want to see him be successful or some awesome instant impact player either.
Chauncey Billups was on the All The Smoke podcast and they were asking him about the starting 5. I think it was Barnes that named off a starting 5 and inquired if Sharpe would be slotted as the starter at 3 (really the only spot up for competition). Billups had 2 players ahead of him. Nassir Little and I think Gary Payton. I think they plan to bring him along kinda slowly, 15-20 minutes per game. But if Dame likes playing with him it won’t take him long to be the one getting starter minutes, whether he actually starts or not.
I still hope he's an utter failure. I don't like seeing low character liars prosper. I don't wish him ill health or anything. Kid got paid. That's cool. I just hope he fails, and fails hard.

I don’t have much of a problem with the kid himself until he said something of the effects it didn’t bother him not playing a minute for UK.

I'm about as positive toward former UK players in the NBA as anyone you'll meet. But I'll tell you, I don't consider Sharpe a UK player at all. As far as I'm concerned, he has no afiliation with UK. He never played a minute. I don't wish him ill but I truly don't care what happens with him.

I’m not gonna wish ill intent or injury, but it wouldn’t hurt my feelings to see him have to work at Wal-Mart one day. Probably won’t if he’s smart because his first contract could easily float him the rest of his families life and that doesn’t include any endorsements he may get or shoe deals.
Even if he does start....not an accomplishment as that roster in terms of SG/SF is sort of doody.

Not too worried about him becoming something big.. at least not yet. Hasn't played competitive basketball in like, what 2 years? I also think the type of attitude that would deceive a college and then not play one minute, is not the type of mentality the NBA wants. This is the exact type of player who will have a decent season in 2 years and then demand a high contract, not playing until he gets one.

Not even close to the same players. Sharpe is Elite at shooting the ball and has much more skill.
I'm indifferent to it all. I don't wish anyone ill will. That's just lame IMO. But I don't care about his success or failure in the NBA either. I do not consider him a UK player so I guess I'm basically viewing him like I do every other NBA player that didn't get drafted from UK.
Or so they say. The kid still has never proven it in real games against anything higher than high school competition.
I don’t think he will be a superstar at any point in his career. He doesn’t have the mindset for it. He’s not a killer.
