Don’t worry bud, before he put Bowden in at QB everyone in this thread wanted him gone. He’d never this, and never that.

IIRC, Neal Brown was the lock favorite to replace him. [laughing]
Yes, after coming off the first 10 win season in 40 years I’m sure we were ready to run him off in here.

But, at the end of the day, you're a Steelers fan. And that stink doesn't wash off. EVER.

That was a cheap azz call on the Bengals in the end zone. The Bengals spent a lot of money upgrading this Oline but, so far, it looks worse.

I didn't realize you were a Bengals fan, Herr Doktor Klown -

We will have to revisit some of our favorite memories of the Steelers/Bengals & old AFC Central days when we see each other once again this week

I always thought their helmets were cute
Then they went to the leotard looking uni's ----

Such a fine line between a uniform and a damn costume isn't it?

AHH -

It's A Beautiful Morning Randos:

* Billy Napier makes more money than Stoops. 🤣

* Two games against non-conference teams to get our running game and o-line squared away is just what the doctor ordered. I hope we play a ton of freshmen, especially the ones who will redshirt, stay healthy, and otherwise get ready to whip Lane Kiffin's ***.

I don't trust grown men who wear visors, btw. Never seen one who wasn't at least partially douchey.

* Props to SAE for knowing offhand that the Idaho mascot is "The Vandals". The Mountain West Conference and other mountain states easily have the best college team names. The Vandals. The Lobos. The Aztecs. The Broncos. The Bisons. The Jackrabbits. The Cowboy Joe Handlers.

All fire. 💯

* The delicious tears of Dr. Chris Kolb is the cherry on top of an incredible win.

- Somehow someway- mostly my dad and a efficient and straight up concrete crew - we managed to completely transform my backyard from a jungle to a nice, clean, charming outdoor oasis in time to host my little girl’s birthday party.

Went great. Broke in the new grill. Busted out some Old Rip Van Winkle, Weller 12 and Four Roses Special Edition 2021. Ended the night watching Big Blue take another big step forward.

- For all these people hyping Texas on a close home loss, I’d suggest going all the way back to last year’s Bama-Florida game. We’ll see.

- I do feel bad for Bert Auburn, tho.

- Anyone else’s allergies haywire? 🤧

- Have no problem with visors or those who wear them. I’ve never been a visor guy myself but it’s a good look for a guys with a decent set of lettuce.

- Man, Ringer Basketball Analyst Jonathan Tjarks lost his cancer battle at 35. IIRC it just came up on him last year. Very sad. He was a complete hoops nerd and I mean that in the best way. Really enjoyed him on pods. One of my favorites. RIP, buddy.

- I don’t think there is anything that better illustrates the gender divide than throw pillows. Why all the throw pillows, ladies?

- When it comes to stop sign etiquette, I much prefer decisiveness over adherence.

- The Mondays are always a little easier to take this time of year. GBB and happy fall.

-The great thing about throw pillows? When you have kids, specifically boys, they take the name quite literally and throw every one of them on the f*cking ground. Always. They're always on the floor. All of them. F*ck.

-What a damn W. So much about it makes it sweet but the change in narrative from Anthony Richardson is the next Dak/Cam TO "man, this is just a really well coached Kentucky team" was the best. Mid 2nd Qtr and Tessitore, who is AWFUL, is already talking like UF has won the game and on to big things. He's terrible. Great voice but otherwise awful.

-Stoops big halftime guy. WTF happened in there?

-Finebaum is required listening today.

-Easy to see why "days are long and years are short" rings so true. Once actual school rolls around it's just one scheduled even after another. School, practice, homework, bath, bed, game, school event, game, practice. Geez. Sure I'll miss it but enjoy those blank weekends while you can.

-Victor mouse traps are still the goat. Just a piece of technology that never needed to be improved on. Quick, efficient, humane. Kind of like the paper clip and QTip. Excellent inventions that need no improvement. Crushed it on the first try. Imagine being one of those people that say, "don't stick a QTip in your ear, they must have the most disgusting ears on earth." Bleh.

On the contrary, we've just over engineered toilets. You just can't get these new eco-friendly pieces of trash to flush. Earth is 71% water, and other than Lake Mead which must have all old school toilets around it, we're doing pretty good on water. Kentucky has PLENTY. Go back to the original toilet design from he 80s when then used jet turbine technology.

-SAE looks great in a visor. I look like a dumbass in one. Just not the right head shape.

-Youngstown St Penguins. 😍

-B2BC was a huge success, thanks to everyone that donated again. Hard to ask for support after 13 years. Weather was about perfect for riding.

- Flipped back and forth between the 1:00 p.m. NFL games and the UK/UF replay yesterday, and man, you forgot just how much a college pep band brings to that experience, even on TV. The difference in atmospheres is just startling.

- Really glad to see that Geese's dad got Booker home safely.

- Stapleton, Yoakam, AND Childers at Rupp on 10/11 for an Eastern Kentucky fundraiser. Giddy-up.

- Nebraska has some really, really good options at the perfect time. With the Big 12 losing steam because of OU/UT leaving, Campbell at Iowa State and Leipold at Kansas would both be great fits. They're just WINNERS, and both would be more than palatable towards leaving for a midwestern Big 10 school with a lot of cash to burn.

Nebraska lost its toughness years ago. That was their trademark for decades. Being a Blackshirt used to really mean something.

Am sure lots of steroids and very aggressive/big/fast dudes from Texas helped but they need someone who can bring back that toughness but also can get really good skill players to want to come to Lincoln NB. Not an easy sell in this day and age of college football but with the right coach along with NIL and the transfer portal it can be done. Very proud program and fanbase obsessed with Football and a lot of cash to burn.

Bittersweet weekend:

Bitter:
-Saturday: Dad's birthday
-Sunday: Mom's birthday

Sweet: Everything else that took place

*What a Saturday. Whirlwind of a day for sure.

Had a 7:00 am flight out of Savannah that quickly turned to ****. Sat on the tarmac for 1.5 hours before the Captain (woman?) telling us to deplane because the "small maintenance" issue will taken longer than expected.

Got a message saying the new flight is 10:30 and that I will miss my connecting flight out of DCA. ****. They tried to put me on a later flight to DCA, then to NY, then home around 9:00 PM. False. Got a game to watch.

Sat at the bar and started plane shopping. Got a Delta flight that got me home at 2:00 pm.

F*uck American Airlines. I've never had more issues with a company in my life. #neveragain

*Was dog *** tired but rallied to go watch the game at Tin Roof. Glad it did. Had an absolute blast with all the regulars. UK wins -> Its a Party -> JW shots -> dancing like idiots -> Gerstles - >MaryMary -> more celebrating -> crash on the couch.

*Rode the couch until I took the kids out for dinner yesterday.

  • Just when ESPN rids it’s network airwaves of Mike Patrick’s over-annunciation/dramatization, they plug n play with Tessitore. I’d rather hear Beth Mowins call than that clown.
  • I have been in a constant search for the perfect running shoe. Hokas, Brooks, Saucony, Pearl Izumi, Nike… Trials and lots of errors. Mostly errors that I can tell don’t work for me in about a week of use. I’ll try anything that will keep me pain-free. On a flier, I bought a pair of Diadora Equipe Atomo… these are dope. Highly recommend.
  • Pulled pork-over it. Mojo or no go.
  • TrueSouth Tompkinsville last night was a really sweet depiction of the area. Need more marble tournaments
  • My son missed all the burnings as he was in Louisville visiting gramma. Ended my worries for a bit.
  • My yard is a Shitshow right now. Awful. And I don’t care, really😂

The whole Richardson thing is baffling. You can hype up your guy but it is another thing for the media and "experts" to agree without looking at the product of work. Did 64 passing attempts, 6 td/5 int tell you we were looking at the next Michael Vick? Did Spencer Rattler teach anyone anything on hype? Heck, Levis still has question marks for me but at least he had a full season of film behind him.

-never had a doubt about Saturday. UK has been equal to or better than Florida since 2014ish...and this year we are *much* better than them.

^played sloppy and still got a *decisive* win.

-people saying AR sucks/fla sucks are doing our boys a disservice. Our staff/young men *made* them look bad because we are a damn good football team and program. Period.

^without our all SEC running back. Halcyon days, gang.

-watched on my phone from the VIP deck at the burl for the "expansion festival"...couple really good bands(death valley girls, allah la's and the black angels). the people watching was top notch. Was offered lots of things, I abstained but folks seemed to enjoy.

I don’t know. I kind of like the NFL experience better- bunch of drunken tatted MAGAs beating the **** out of one another in the stands just presents a certain ambiance.

Notre Dame making the dumbass decision promoting a great recruiter to HC. This should be fun to watch.

Isn’t just a great recruiter. He’s a helluva DC. You just don’t know. Georgia and Ohio State did the same and are rolling.
