Well, not to discount our OL figuring it out, but some of it was absolutely the game strategy of ball control and UF wearing down.
It’s fun to show off a 415 pound DT, but just remember those big boys get tired after 2-3-4 first downs.
Not to mention we kept 80-90% of our second half play calls bunch in closer to the line. Personally I hate not pushing WRs out wide, but it worked very well keeping their edge guys at bay as we ran outside more with Smoke and up the middle with McClain.

The toss sweeps we ran were a great idea to have Smoke be at full speed when he meets resistance. That way he can make a play, kid can’t go up the gut over and over like CRod.

First time in the swamp, a very cool venue to watch a game. The one big screen scoreboard was small and hard to see replays and the other was almost directly behind us so we were in the dark on a few plays.
Second loudest I’ve ever heard a stadium behind Tennessee in 98 vs Tim Couch.
Got stuck without an Uber after the game and we had to walk about 2 miles to catch one. Killed the entire buzz we had walking out.
Lots of cockiness pre game from the Gators fans. Talked to several who thought there was no way on Earth they could lose. Funny bc I felt the same way about our chances. One guy was absolutely dumbfounded I was that confident.
Clean up the special teams, continue to get some continuity on OL, and get Crod back and we will be fine. Defense is nails.
