St patty’s day
Shamrocks on patchen
UK v Iowa st
Was a good night for single me

It was 70 and sunny that glorious afternoon . Washington St behind O’Shea’s and next to YUM was on straight fire that day. Pep Band playing The Fight Song, cheerleaders doing back flips, beer tubs with endless ice cold domestos… the works.

I remember there was a 6-7 minute span in the 1st half where Royce White was matching UK basket for basket and the game was somewhat close. Then the Cats kicked it into another gear that no other team in the country was capable of and basically ran em out of the gym right before half. The YUM Center felt like it was going to implode.

Monday Mofo Randos

-Finally got the full vertical of all single barrel Four Roses recipes! Feel like a big weight lifted off my shoulders!

-Got 3 in high school now. I know "don't blink" but getting closer to the empty nesting.

-The oldest really made a splash this summer on the track circuit. His 4:04 1500m got him on the radar for Alabama, Kentucky, Eastern, Western and High Point.

-His number 1 right now is High Point. Which he took a campus visit and loved it and it is probably at the level that he will actually get to run but High Point is about $40K/year but may be offset by scholarship but Men's Track and Cross Country do not get full rides.

-Glad Wofoco has a good high school football team. Nothing like it in small communities.

-Spent almost all weekend organizing the garage. Just awful and I swear I do it 2 times/year. We've got 11 bikes so that really screws up everything.

--New company truck finally got here last week. Waited about a year for a Pathfinder but gave up and got a Frontier. The new car market is crazy. No negotiations just pay the SRP and move on.

-The oldest also met a girl at running camp from the Northern Kentucky area. Went to watch her race on Saturday then went to the Loveland Trail to get his 8 miles in. I am not sure if I am happy that he has a girlfriend from Northern Kentucky. Is that even Kentucky?

-Less than 2 weeks.

Was an incredible day. The setup downtown Louisville for NCAA games was dope AF then, and that was when it was still pretty new & bare down there overall, at least compared to what it is now.

Making Louisville = Lexington for a weekend puts it over the top. Still chuckle that BBN are still the only ones (as far as I know) to truly put that O'shea's & all of it's 3 floors + basement + alley to full use.

-Successful gathering with my college pals. We just fall right back where we left off the last trip like we talk everyday, we don't, and are still the best of friends. Wild that we have a couple nearing (government) retirement age. Kids nearing HS age. Folded up each night around 11 and whole crew up drinking coffee by 6:30-7a. Basically a complete inverse of our old schedule when we'd leave for the bars at 11:30p and finish up our late night meals around sunrise.

-Inquired about "ordering" a new vehicle and got hit with, "the dealership has the right on delivery to add a surcharge over msrp.' What? You can't tell me now if you're going to add 10's of thousands to the price when it comes in? Have a feeling a lot of these people are going to be hit with a dose of reality come the depths of this winter.

-Fall Ball is just the best. New roster. New kiddos. Let's get it.

-Little man broke the neighbors garage window playing ball. It was bound to happen and finally went down Dennis the Menace style. Made him walk around the block and knock on their door to confess and discuss repair. It was pretty cute. Hopefully the intended life lesson set in.

-BG location soft launches this week. So all you South Central folks from the area (BG, Russellville, Glasgow, Caves, Franklin) holler if you need anything.

-Pretty tough to fight off the traditional UK Football pessimism. Preseason expectation, rankings, 1st round draft picks. I love the team but I'm anxious af.

-Watched Summer Catch last night for the first time. Movie was meh but Jessica Biel in the early aughts is tough to beat. That pool scene, good lord. Google search shows she's holding up nicely. Good for her and JT.

The movie Thirteen Lives about the Thai kids trapped in the cave is FANTASTIC! There can't be a more badass rescue that is non-war related than that.

Also, know a lot DGAF about soccer but the two series All or Nothing - Arsenal and Man City are also great watches.

There are on Prime. Wynn gummies can only enhance your viewing pleasure.

High Point/WS/G'boro is a ishhole. I'm sure its different going to school there but I have zero love for that area. My mom has lived there for almost 10yrs, Tommy prob knows it a lot better but i'm not a fan at all.

Grabbed a new Limited Expedition Saturday. Dear God. I know its just Ford but the amount of comfort and luxury in that thing compared to my Denali is night and day. The leather quality alone is eye opening. My first Ford in 30 years of driving, i'm very impressed.

- The stands at Newport Stadium are condemned right now, meaning New Cath and Newport are playing their home games elsewhere this fall. Always enjoyed the buzz of Friday night high school football in the neighborhood.

- Daughter starts “school” at the Montessori down the street in 9 days. Will be this COVID baby’s first day of any sort. I actually think she’ll be just fine and nice having her within walking distance.

- You’re GD right I schedule around Final 4 weekend every year. I am a Kentucky fan.

- My gawd I had forgotten how stunning Hannah Jeter is.

- After two years of trying to get it done, finally redoing our backyard. Starts next week. Just in time for fall firepit season.

Anyone have one? I'd kind of like one but would probably only use it two or three times a year and can't really justify the cost until I get the damn house paid off.
*Raises hand*
Longtime lurker here, but I have what they call an "entry level" drone (DJI Mini SE)...it was about $299 which is about all a poor like me could afford, let alone the wife would have murdered me had I spent more than that...

They are a damn blast to fly though. I'm also a technology nerd and have always liked photography...

Girls: “I don’t know- just don’t feel as close to Ashley anymore. We haven’t talked in weeks.”

Dudes: “Oh yeah, Ryan is one of my closest friends. Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve talked to him in like 5 years, though.”
So true.

Met my best man at Porcini a couple weeks ago for my birthday dinner. Hadn't seen him in years.

LSAT Tweets: 'But you don't even talk to him anymore. Do you even know where he currently lives? The eff?".

Showed up and we didnt miss a beat. Had a blast.

Thanks, toots.

Would you guys come as far as Burkesville? I’m gonna be getting a new unit soon. Hoping to push it to the spring

I have one friend, not on FB, that knows all our birthdays. Not sure how or why he does but I assume he uses the Grandma method with a flip calendar. I know my family's BDays and that's about it. Most of my friends, I don't even know the time of year their birthday much less the specific date.

I forgot my wife’s birthdate during our “green card” interview in a large and impressive federal building in downtown NYC in 2013. It was a very fun and chill experience for both of us. (I missed the date by a few days and then slowly offered up the next 10 dates, in succession, to no avail. The interviewer lady took her glasses off and stared me down while I took on a “trust tree confusion” persona of Will Ferell in Old School.)

50.

Great weekend.

Added 13 bottles of bourbon/ryes, 1 bottle of Irish Whiskey and a jar of Wildcat Willy's Moonshine from Winchester.

My sister gave me a bottle of Willet 6-Yr that is pretty nice. a BIL gave me a Woodinville Bourbon that was a single barrel made for OHLQ that is pretty good.

Krazy's 17YO Rye is touching exquisite.

Had my first fast food cheeseburger since March on Saturday. White Castle double cheese. Won't have another one for a while, but man it was good.

Want to really baffle your wife --> tell her that you have no idea what your friends' birthdays are. They can't even process that.
Outside of my kids, siblings, parents and wife, I have no idea of anyone's birthday. Trying to remember nieces, nephews, in-laws, etc. is the wife's business, yet still ticks her off that I can't remember them or the date someone, besides my dad, died. Terrible at it.

I've been following Royce White on Twitter for a few months now. He's actually makes more sense than I thought he would.

Ilhan Omar is awful. I'd rather take a red piss than vote for her.
Really enjoy the @80 Proof Piss Test of how much or little he likes you. Wouldn't piss on Rex if his head was on fire (hates him so much he'd watch him burn like a monk with a point to prove) and would rather piss blood (hates her so much he'd rather have serious internal bleeding) than vote for Omar. Really lets you know where he stands.
