For the sake of the league I hope the Knicks can pull off a trade for Donovan Mitchell and not give away their whole future.

Kentucky was listed as one of Durant's early favorites, but has appeared to slip off the pace since the high school season ended.
"I'm not sure if it's any one thing, but they do seem to have slipped," Smith said. "Having Tubby in here (Thursday) may have helped. Kevin may have gotten the impression they weren't recruiting him hard enough or that he wasn't a priority. A lot of schools have come in and told him he's their main guy, their No. 1 priority.

She isn't ugly but gorgeous...come one. I'll give you this, I'm sure her influence adds points in real life.

The guy that wrote that article/headline is a day trader that lives in a basement. Interesting.

- My wife and/or daughter have been sick for about half of 2022. I can’t recall so many summer colds affecting people.

- Kanye’s verse on “Run This Town” is pretty much just a set of GYERO randoms.

- My dad loves him some Hofbrashaus. It’s his go-to for Father’s Day, his birthday, etc. I’m cool if it’s outside. Great beer and pretzels, the best brat/sauerkraut I’ve ever had.

- So Big Blue is about to add arguably the best player in the class in Justin Edwards. Big lefty wing with a smooth game. Philly kid with a bit of a mean streak. Can play 3/4, and good shooter. Gives you some Tayshaun vibes with his baby hook.

Add him to Dillingham and Sheppard and you already have 3 dynamite players who can create, pass and shoot. Then, we’re also looking good for Wagner, and a couple 7-footers with upside.

- Vecenie with his first 2023 mock. LOVES Wallace. Seems everyone who watches that kid play loves him. I sure do.

- Drunk Prediction: Cats 7-0 with Levis getting legit Heisman hype rolling into Knoxville for a showdown.

- Really want to bring my FIL down for an early Saturday football game this year. Think he’d love it but it all depends on his back. Dude is 80 years old now.

- The Anarchists docuyon HBO is pretty good so far.

- Daughter is sporting a shiner right now after taking a tumble on some concrete steps. Scared the hell out of me. Kid has no fear.

Our whole household has been sick since about Easter. Live in 90 degree weather and we all have runny noses.

I guess if the goal is to pay players what is the point in involving charities?

Like if 50% is going to the players for being involved and 50% is going to a charity why can’t 100% go to the players and people donate to charities another way?

The goal is pretty simple honestly.

We raise money for student athletes through NIL, and we raise money for nonprofits at the same time. We are passionate about both and with the current "blackcloud" over some perceptions with NIL deals, what we are doing is

Our board is made up of both huge UK fans and supporters, so helping the kids who make up the teams we love, and helping very important nonprofit charities around the state that provide resources and programs for people in need at the same time is a unique and great way to help both. The reason 100% of the money cant go to the athletes is because we are at 501C3 and that's not what our intentions are. In actuality, a much higher percentage of money goes to the non profits, but the athletes are paid a MORE than fair rate for their time and for marketing or attending events, advertising efforts, raffles, etc. If you're involved with any nonprofits at all, you know that they are all having a hard time fighting for donations and also don't have the resources to bring attention to, or market themselves to let people know who they are and what they do. In a meeting we had with Ronald McDonald House of the Bluegrass yesterday, they were raving about how much attention and marketing our last promotion brought them, in addition to the money we raised for their organization by working with us and Oscar.

Does it solve all of the current NIL issues or complexities? No.

Does it help current student athletes and statewide nonprofits? Yes.

If you own a business and want to get involved with NIL advertising for your business, please reach out to my good buddies Fred or Ryan at Athletes Advantage (Formerly named Virtus) as they do a killer job at NIL advertising for businesses. I currently use them for my business and have been overly happy with how they treat the athletes they work with.

The realty is, the more avenues Kentucky athletes have at getting NIL money, the better for the sports programs we chat about on this site all day.

Can we just say we are paying recruits to come here and its necessary? Maybe there is some ROI for hyper local businesses or with UK athletes that have 7 figure social media followers, still doubtful. I'd be pissed if I paid full price for a Michael Avery reddit post.

None of this seems sustainable for any parties involved, but I do appreciate the folks at least attempting it in good faith so I can discreetly swig my brown water and yell waka flocka come fall.

I’ve said before that I really don’t understand the semantics. Whether you’re offering $$$ up front or just letting them know there’s an opportunity to make $$$ when they suit up, it’s the same damn thing. People continue to hold onto this sanctity of college athletics like it means a damn thing anymore.

You have ADs and administrators hellbent on chopping the legs off half their compatriots with this conference consolidation. Yet we’re still here tip-toeing around the ethics of NIL. It’s all posturing and ********.

Its obviously necessary and I admire the ones trying to do it for the sake of UK athletics and my wildcat fandom. Not knowing the regulations at all I think putting together a "charity" event providing access to athletes makes a lot of sense as far as intrinsic feel-good ROI. Should at least be attractive the casual horse owner crowd.

it just seems like you are going to have to get real creative to keep businesses coming back. Again, good luck to the folks attempting it I wish them all the luck until it can be actually cemented and/or scaled.

As Brittney Griner's detention in Russia has galvanized the sports world in support of the WNBA star's return to the United States, Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James questioned why Griner would want to return to a country that has taken so much time to aid in a resolution for her.

"Now, how can she feel like America has her back?" James said in a trailer for the latest episode of his talk show, "The Shop: Uninterrupted," which airs on YouTube. "I would be feeling like, 'Do I even want to go back to America?'"

The ESPN link to other nonsense comments from sports folks who think the US is not bringing her home because of race, gender and homo biases.

Maybe she shouldn't break another country's laws so she don't get arrested. Other country's may not care that she is a sports star when applying their laws.

Always concerned for UK where the NIL money would come from. I'm not sure there is as much deep pockets as others in this race. Annd, at what expense does this money hurt other areas of fundraising. The grassroots money will help.

Because people are out and about nearly 100% now and their immune systems are oatmeal thanks to the lockdowns, masks, 25 shots, etc.

Any parent who gets their kid a covid shot needs to be pistol whipped.

I, too, am happy that our strength and conditioning coach is focused on improving our strength and conditioning. That seems like a pretty important part of the job - maybe even more important than being a Bushwick Bill-sized hype man at the end of the bench.

I think our players will be bigger/stronger/faster this year…don’t you?
