He sent me a random distressed DM recently to tell me his wife "fired" the super hot Maid, which made me smile b/c he didn't deserve that amenity, imo.
Maybe his company shipped him to remote Saskatchewan again, which is best case for everyone.
- I find “babe” to a male off-putting but you do you, stud.
- That said, every now and again to spice things up, I’ll replace “tomorrow” with “manana.” People get a kick out of it.
- Can’t say I’ve ever had a falling out with a buddy before. Have had a few I’ve lost touch with but when I see them, it’s all good.
- PTI - throwback jerseys have been coming back for the last decade. I happened upon a high school basketball game 5 years ago and every kid in the student section had some kind of throwback jersey on. What I’m saying is start paying more attention to high schoolers, loser. Kochs in downtown Cincinnati has a sick selection of throwbacks.
- My wife is overall not cheap but she’s very cheap about certain things like getting gas. Feel like I’m always the one filling up the tank. Speaking of, down $77 today.

-Spent yesterday in Winchester helping a buddy and his wife move there from Murray. Man, I’m too old for that **** at this point. Oh well, had nothing better to do. First time in Winchester in almost 20 years, no idea why they decided to light there.
-First real vacay in a few years coming up next week. Already have a charter fishing trip set up with my son-in-law and his 12yo son, on my dime of course. Other than that all I really want to do is be a bum and eat my weight in seafood. Fingers crossed
-Down 20lbs since since the first of May. No booze and only one coke, which was with a “cheat” meal, combined with walking an insane amount of miles. Feels good
-Speaking of, I bought a pair of Brooks when I began walking. Already have 260 miles on them and they are beginning to “feel” different. The thought of replacing shoes every 3-400 miles isn’t pleasant. Any GYERO recs?

Junior is my go-to for kids working. At the club, kid working had his back to me, was about 10-15 feet away. I needed his assistance so I yelled, "Hey junior". He knew who I was talking to.
I go with “youngblood.” Less condescending and gives me some flava as the kids say.
Company is doing a billion dollars a month and has matched 100% the last 2 years, and I get a profit share on top of the match.
The one thing they do that’s weird is the match is a one time deposit usually the middle of March so I do have to make until then for my money!
- Read an excellent book a few years back that was behind-the-scenes with Kentucky HS basketball, specifically the Scott County boys' program, and there were several quotes by Coach Billy Hicks where he called guys "Honey", "Sweetheart", etc. And not in a mocking way, it was just kinda normal for the guy. Great coach, but I looked at him differently from that point on, tbh.
- Feels like there oughta be a weight limit on dudes mowing their grass shirtless. I don't know what that limit should be, I just know that I'm over it.
- Is the war in Ukraine still going on? That place disappeared from the news with the quickness.
- It's going to be interesting to see if this "GREATEST CLASS IN LOUISVILLE FOOTBALL HISTORY" actually comes to fruition. It's an impressive list of commits/visitors they've got over there. Can they keep them through what will probably be another meh Satterfield season.
- That's great news about The Athletic. For all the grief we give Tucker, he's the best UK beat writer of our lifetimes. And their coverage of nearly all sports, especially college sports, is pretty unrivaled.
- Mike Fields' weekly Friday column on Kentucky high school sports was required reading throughout my childhood and adolescence. His was the career path I wanted to take for a long time...focus on HS sports from August through early June, write the occasional Reds piece during the summer. A different gym/stadium every Friday night. Still sounds like a great gig, frankly.

LOVED fireworks as a kid (ie — for decades) ....i am very VERY capable of taking your modest assortment and setting them off in a BIG PRODUCTION KIND OF WAY
Last “incident” was a good 10-12 years ago so i’m practically professional
