This scenario apparently makes up like 90% of unwanted pregnancies based on what I've seen recently on social media.

You're right, and apparently the other 90% is girls "spreading it around like peanut butter" according to people posting on the Paddock.

Pretty wild time to be alive, IMO.

Outside of cashing in on a Thunder Gulch trifecta, my favorite Derby memory is when a week before Derby -I was just doing yard work and a Pegasus courtesy Caddy slowly rolls up in front of my Highlands house and pulls over.

A well-dressed, elderly couple poured out of the car and approached me. They introduced themselves but I didn’t recognize their name. The woman lived in my house 50 years ago and made an odd request to tour it.

Pre-baby, we had just cleaned the house so we capitulated. They both slowly walked thru as if she told stories about the place to the man and then silently paced and proved her recollection correct. My house is tiny, but a jewel box.

Cracked open a couple beers and they sat and talked with us for about 2 innings of the Yankee game (MLB package). Their accent was South Carolina regal southern. Awesome folks.

Dude handed me his card… green and yellow silks on it. Dude was Cot Campbell of Dogwood Stables. That year he had two horses entered I think… one was Trippi.

He innovated the horse race industry by selling shares of horses - bringing it to a more democratic tangible level of horse ownership.

In any case, they sent us flowers the following Derby.

That’s a damn awesome story/experience- liked that one

I was an extra in a japanese commercial for the old sega saturn game console

wore a purple robe, prosthetic cone head and -‘along with about 8-9 others like me .:.was told to quack and stagger around chaotically

i got $100 for that

the featured stars of the commercial were 2-3 midgets flown in from san francisco

got a side offer for soft core japanese porn by the days end - that was fun

“ahhhhhb donnnnt a-worry...you wear a G-string!”

Lotta rumors if this happens, Brad will replace him.

Not kidding
Good call Matty Bangs, btw why are you so scared of conversation you start on Twitter? Just curious how you can be in the media yet be such a baby when you get called out on a take?

I’m not the biggest Matt jones guy but is this really necessary? He gives this thread behind the scenes info which I really appreciate. This kind of **** will make him stop.

He has no connections inside anymore, that’s Kyle Tuckers job now. He won’t stop because it makes him money.

Away game football games, are you better off buying the seats UK sells and sit with other UK fans even though the visitor seats may be bad? Looking at Ole Miss game. Stadium is nothing special but it appears the UK seats will be nosebleeds. Or, do I spend extra and get a decent view mixed in with Ole Miss fans.?

I always like sitting with other UK fans on the road. Have done it both ways but UK road crowds are way more fun to sit with.

As expected, Friday and Saturday's forecast looks like the worst two days of weather we've had in the last month. Also on schedule is the beautifully mild day after on Sunday.

Oxford is a fun road trip but yeah that stadium is meh. Think, "upper middle-class Texas high school stadium"

Jealous of all taking in the Derby events. The little side excursions are arguably as good as any of the main events. Dawn at the Downs, watching early workouts from the backside, buying $1 beers from a 10 yr old lugging a cooler down Central Avenue... take it all in.

Wife survived a "restructuring" (layoff) at work which cut 45% off their work force in the states. She works for a Japanese company (not with Booker/Geese) and it seems they have been hit even harder in recent years. It's their 5th that I can recall in the 9 years shes been there. Would have been pretty cold hearted to cut a gal while shes still on maternity leave but I guess none of that matters in the global corporate game. She gets angry that I save/invest a lot of our money- but thats why. One of these days she's going to be scrambling for another job and maybe then she will say "Thank you, Ribs, for your fiscal responsibility"

Dropped the little one off at day school, which I gather is a more expensive version of daycare for the first time yesterday. Was brutal. She did fine- her mother and I not so much. She's changed so much recently i hardly recognize pictures from a few weeks ago.

This version is better:

-People at Hallmark are just real ******** for putting Mother's Day the day after Derby. I just want a Sausage Egg McMufin and my couch.

-What to do for Derby with out of staters is a pretty hard question. Assuming you're not planning on going to Churchill and this is Lex? Horse farm tour, bourbon tour, place bets at Keeneland, eat at one of the many fine upscale southern restaurants, go to Kern's and buy a Derby Pie. IMO, I'd have them come in a day early and try to hit up the Track Wed-Thursday. Those days have become pretty fun and easy to get in. Backside is a nice options or any of the Dawn events. Worst case go cruise Broadway.

-Maxey is a damn stud. Good lord. Had the Sixers in that game until Harden came off the bench and shot them out of it. Of course FW played Trashton at point that whole season. Was really cool watching Herro and Maxey run lead guard in the NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals knowing they were misused at UK.

-Horsey Gambol Time. Time to get paid, blow up like the World Trade.

-60 and overcast in Louisville Sat isn't an issue. Especially for the Gents. Sucks for the Oaks Crowd, though.

-Comfortably clicked down a belt loop this morning. That's a nice feeling. Bout halfway to summer weight.

-I trust our lines will be there when we need them. I don't trust our secondary.

Wyvern, is there a youtube clip of this commercial?

So - it CAN be located

At least i found it about 3 years ago when i was about to undergo a renewed security clearance investigation

the version i found would be recognized by the stoned (and they were all STANK HIGH) midgets with their pudgy little faces crammed up close to the screen ...an “apocalyptic / industrial” background with a GIANT assed video screen perched up on what looks like a stone altar

and this gaggle of damn cone headed MORANS putzing about in the background

It was like a 2 hour damn bus ride to this abandoned industrial site in Tokyo and i just went AWOL for day 2 ....too much bus time ...too much damn sitting around with stoned west coast midgets — and i don’t recall those cheap ninjas feeding us at all

I DID seriously want to do the soft core though

hell - it’s a victimless crime

BUT by then i already had 3-4 tattoos which made me identifiable to the Air Force & negatively associated with undesirable elements in Japan

The manager of our NCO club at Yokota AB hooked me , Hotrod and Fat-Chevy up with the gig — cool dude

Is it against the "rules" for an enterprising fan of UK to start an NIL donation fund, so that the common fan, rather than just corporations, car dealerships, businesses etc. can contribute to "the cause"?

If it is NOT, I'm surprised someone hasn't done it already.

If he did land in New York I’d be stoked for that kid! Having guys like Barkley, Kadarius Toney and Wandale from day 1 as your weapons would put a QB like him in position to win.

Of course I have high hopes for Stoops an company this year too, can’t wait!

Barkley will not be on the Giants in 2023. The Giants have paid him $38 million. That's enough.
You must not understand NFL contracts, franchise tag or transition tags.

He will be a giant for 2 more years AT LEAST unless someone blows them away with a trade offer.
