LET'S BE POSITIVE SHORTS

- I will not let what happened today affect my mood.

Oscar deserves our respect. We are a spoiled bunch, but let's stand pat.

I'll always hold my hand with my team. And you will, too.

- Guess what? It's going to be absolutely perfect weather this weekend.

70-80s, blue skies.

Might as well hit up Keeneland's true last weekend.

- Speaking of horses, let's talk Derby rankings:

My best of the best:
1. Zandon
2. Epicenter
3. Tabia
4. Mo Denegal
5. Messier

Longshots that could move into any of the above 5 spots for an upset contender:
6. Charge It
7. Crown Pride
8. Cyberknife
9. White Abarrio
10. Simplification
11. Barber Road

The jury is still out on these three for the time being :
12. Smile Happy
13. Zozos
14. Early Voting

Thanks for coming, but I think I'll pass:
15. Un Ojo
16. Tawny Port
17. Morello
18. Tiz the Bomb
19. Summer is Tomorrow
20. Happy Jack

- The Wedding Singer's soundtrack is pretty much perfect to me. 80's bangers left-and-right.

- I think I could live off of Cracker Jack. Ate the s*it outta that rectangle box daily for years.

- When it comes to blowing bubbles: Big League Chew > Hubba Bubba (barely). I am up for debate on this. There is no wrong answer.

- Oscar. Damn. Tshiebwe.

Man the Cal clips in that Sharpe video killed me. Holy hell. Credit to whomever put that together... hysterical.

Thanks! For whatever reason today's events made me think of Cal on that stupid *** hoverboard. Plus the thought of some cheesy 80s music over some lame fan-made farewell video to Sharpe was cracking me up pretty good. Boredom + iMovie is a hell of a combo.

Still not even mad at Sharpe.

I’m GD furious Cal isn’t man enough to say “ya know I thought there was a chance it could play out like this, and really I didn’t expect him to not play the end of last season. I really thought being around the players and getting into the season he’d get the urge, but he didn’t. Then it was kind of a long shot to have him next year and we hoped, but it played out different so we took a chance on a really good kid, but best of luck to him”

That’s it. Say that, own it, F it, move on! Who cares if it’s throwing him under the bus, what’s it matter now?

- Re: Toppin shooting the ball

Honestly feel he isn’t a spot up or stand still shooter. He is deadeye at stepping into that elbow jumper and that’s his thing. Stepping into the shot, but for a 3 it just doesn’t work that way.

Could be wrong, but it’s something I’ve noticed.

Sorry Geese!

I am the oldest of 6. 11 years between me and my youngest brother.

* All the love to Oscar.

* Who is Shaedon Sharpe?

* One of my core group of friends from college and beyond passed away. Friend doesn’t even begin to express it. Our crew was family and we have stayed family. He was a tech genius in the earliest definition of that term. He was there for me in my best times and my darkest hours. Rest In Peace my friend. ❤️🥲

- Cal has his faults for sure...but not mad at him over the Sharpe ****. Or Sharpe. The #1 player wants to come here mid season, even if there's the good chance he bounces...you take him and hope. If Cal said no and he went to Duke mid season, everyone would ***** about that.

Sharpe is a top 7 pick, gotta go. Might move up a few spots next year, but could move down a lot.

That said, PR wise, handled awful.

Whatever, it sucks, but not going to dwell.

- We have the potential to be better next year, potenial to be worse...but think college basketball as a whole won't be as good.

- We'll grab Reeves and a game changer not in the portal yet. Between the NIL and the NPOY returning, a lot to offer a top combo who doesn't have the pressure of carrying the team.

- Hot streak on NBA Playoff gamble. Coming out of a huge rut the last few weeks.

- Rex really thought his interview with Ben Stiller was going to save CNN+. F***ing loser. Bye.

- Booker out...sucks for my boy CP3. Probably his last year to get a ring with Ayton moving on next year and CP signing a max to end his career in PHX.

Not once did I say I was happy with any of it. Deep down, I'm more pissed than any of you. I just believe the man is going to get it done.

Roy Williams went through a similar stretch, after they won the title in 2009 until they reached the title game in 2016. That was 6 seasons without a FF. I know Cal is at 7, but I will always believe '20 was a FF team. Take out that year and we're at 6 too.

****, look at Bill Self. He's been at Kansas since '04. He just now won his second title. He's had WAY MORE March disappointments than Cal. But he kept getting close. I believe the same is about to happen for Cal in both scenarios. We will break the FF and NC drought this year.

I'm all in. F it!
I clearly remember Cal saying in his opening presser that if we are patient as a fanbase in 20 years we too can have a run like Bill Self at KU. That sly fox knew how to set expectations, give him that.

Oscar absolutely deserves respect. Nevertheless, if you don’t have concerns on spacing, game and rotation management by our coach, and pinning major hopes on good but not lottery pick type freshman and transfers then you haven’t been paying attention.

There are pieces to like but I’m in complete “gotta see it” mode and honestly will be until a run in March (doesn’t mean I won’t enjoy parts of the season).

A 50-13 run by the Grizz?!??
Just an unmitigated disaster.

Towns, for all his immense talent, is a huge spaz. He does the dumbest **** out there. It's hard to watch and enjoy him. I know there was tons of blame to go around last night (including the lol coaching staff) but as a franchise centerpiece, you aren't winning **** with him.

Sorry, Randall. They have some really cool pieces -- and I wouldn't mind to see the Wolves experience some more success.

Sly and the Family Stone is the most underrated musical act in the history of rock n roll.

Good grief. They are in the R&R HOF and their influences in music are well known. Please stick to title dreams and whatnot. Oh, btw....if team A scores more points than team B, then team A wins. Your "what if" game is strong though, I will admit.

BBdK....that was a good cover/mix by AD. It will go on the playlist for the deck's summer bourbon season.

- This is purely based on "feel" and may be factually incorrect, but it sure seems like more NBA players miss time for hamstring/back/muscle injuries than they did back in the day. I don't remember guys missing games, especially playoff games, unless it was knee/ankle/ligament related. Again, this is purely anecdotal, but I wonder if the differences in training have anything to do with it.

- Tucker is really talented, and his article last night did shed light on the Sharpe situation, but it doesn't deflect any of my frustration with Cal. I don't care who the handler is or what the handler said....if you're the coach at Kentucky, you don't let some two-bit hustler from Canada determine the trajectory of your basketball season/program. Period. Whatever happened to "We ARE the needle?". Get out of here with that garbage.

- What the Mavs are doing without Luka so far is pretty remarkable, no?

- Really enjoying the series by The Athletic on formerly-strong CFB programs who haven't won as big lately, and what it's gonna take for them to get back to that level. The list includes Arkansas, Texas Tech, Nebraska, Colorado, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, UCLA, Washington and USF. I don't think Arkansas belongs on that list, because Pittman already won 9 games there last year. But of the others, I think the ones most likely to start winning bigger again are Texas Tech(because the Big 12 is about to get weaker) and Washington(because of its recruiting base). I don't see Virginia Tech ever getting back to prime-Beamer levels, and I think the others are just destined to fall between 5-7 and 7-5 every year under their current circumstances.

When did I say that I don't have any concerns? Never. I was asked why I'm optimistic and I gave reasons. I don't list my concerns bc every one else in here is doing that. I choose to counter with positives, but it doesn't mean that I'm blind to the negatives. Do we all need to constantly ***** about our coach? There are plenty on the ***** bus who have that covered.
