It looks like a situation where Kentucky is a hat on the table, just has them there to get more attention on the recruitment
I mean all CCC plays is 7. Their aren’t 7 D1 kids that want to play for KY.

Things are going to get really really bad with triple C.
He couldn’t win it with Townes, Booker, Lyle’s and company.
Couldn‘t get out of the first round with NPOY Oscar.

This is what's pissed our fan base off. Not only are we losing most big games, he thinks we believe he's gonna field a contender next season by just slapping sum **** together and introducing them as wildcats. I'm only 38 so I can say I've been a UK fan since I was born laying in the floor watching tape delays at mid-night, this is by far the worst I remember. Thanks Cal you've done enough we can handle it from here.
I'm only two weeks into being on this board and wish most of you would go be fans of another team. All you do is **** on our team, whether it is the coach, players or AD. This is supposed to be a fan site, not a bunch of people that hate everything about our program site. Most of you suck.
You don't see Villanova begging middle school kids or asking if anyone wants to sit since they are projected lottery and Cal has really screwed this stuff up. How bout development of players. Who's the last player he made better? Killed off every home and away tradition we had. I don't hate him but the trend is garbage right now.
I get the nostalgia and all, but if you were born in 1984, you weren't watching the tape delays at midnight like us older guys did. ESPN had already happened. In the late 70's and until about 1984/1985 that still existed, but by the time you remember, it wasn't a thing.
Once the season starts we all well most of us will pull for them to blowout everyone in front of them. It’s just a #$&$ show at the moment

Doesn't matter where a player played sounds like a guard that is needed at uk. Since we needed a guard that can score. I'll let coaches decide who they get. They are a lot of good transfers that would help us

Tape delays actually came on at 1130 following the news where I lived. They always showed the score during the sports section and told you to look away if you didn’t want to see the score.
I have bled blue for a long time but our basketball program is in the worst shape with the least amount of hope that I’ve seen in my lifetime.
We need to bounce the current coach, blow his NBA system up, and start with a new coach that puts winning games for the University of KY first.

I can assure you, you are dead wrong about that. I'm 41 and I watched PLENTY of games on tape delay in the early 90s. They came on at 11:30 eastern after the local news.

I was at UK in the early 90s and we weren't on TV at all until 92 because of the penalties brought on by Sutton. By then, the games weren't delayed. At least not in Lexington. Growing up in Louisville, until about 1986, games were delayed, and a few still were after that, but most were not. After probation, none were.
After that loss, I found this board as a way to continue thinking and talking about UK basketball after an unexpected loss. In two weeks, I see how miserable so many on here are.
I don't know what to tell you, dude. After the probation there were still a lot of games shown on tape delay where I lived. I can't speak for where you live, but I can tell you 1000% I watched many games on tape delay post-probation. You can die on this hill if you want? but you'll still be wrong.
So Huggins, who is getting inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame soon, couldn't get it out of him, and then he comes here and becomes National Player of the Year and Cal had nothing to do with it? Gotcha.

I understand your sentiment and I agree for the most part, however how many non-5 star guys have rode the pine o my to transfer and be good or a part of a winning team somewhere else?
that’s my thoughts on this type of player, if cal really wants them or are they going to sit on the bench for the whole second half and overtime while a player with more stars gets his chances in our last game of the season?
or are we going to let a kid miss shots cause we don’t want to take his heart away while the kid who is here Who may contribute at the university of Kentucky rots on the bench.
if we have a team full of no stars then I think that could be the best thing for us. But one or two sprinkled in with this type of players seems to spell disaster for us.
UK was not on tv during the 1990 season only.
1991 every game was on tape delay! No games were allowed to be broadcast live.
1992 UK games could be broadcast live.
Thought I remembered it that way, but I only would have been 10-11 at that time. I remember watching many, many games on tape delay in the early 90s. Dude comes on here and tells people their memories aren’t real. Lol

Freshman year was at UMass and then must have gotten a waiver to immediately play his Sophomore year at Bradley. Stats weren't half bad. Almost 10 pts per game both years.
I was all about signing the best JUCO player in the country but this gives me pause.

then. Nope so when Oscar got here work ethic changed and he turned up. He was pretty good already, Cal didn't make Oscar hussle for 20 rebounds a game. Oscar wants to be paid and drafted so he made himself a better player,Cal can't make a f n sandwich. Oscar made cal this year not the other way around. Imagine the fire burning here if Big O didn't carry his *** through this season.Latest
