Good lord. Is BCG now our lead recruiter?
Maybe Tubby is but if we were going after 8th graders then I’d reconsider the BCG comment
Things are going to get veryyyyy ugly veryyyyy fast now that Cal can’t recruit!
Freaking ridiculous that we even have to try recruiting JUCO players.
Even worse he didn’t jump at coming to KY. We’re only in his top 6.
And some of you think we have no issues right now????

Not only can the man not Coach go look at all these guys supposedly UK has reached out to like WTF. I feel like I’m in a time warp to Tubby’s recruiting days just flat out laziness! The sad part is Triple C makes double the salary talking about not getting what you pay for!

There are a half dozen YouTube videos covering Sean East. In some ways he reminds me of Jack Givens. But what I don't see on the YouTube vids are his bad decisions if there are many or his turnovers if there are more than a few or his defense.
Remember the guys he recruited his last year? KC Ross Miller, Avery, etc... ? That Cal let go. This is the level Cal is getting to now. A JUCO guy? Are you serious??
True on the coaching Tubby was a lot better but when’s it comes to recruiting they are about on par anymore!
Recruiting the best JUCO player is no different than a portal kid. If he’s a baller, go after him. Kid plays with a chip on his shoulder, which none of our guards did this year. Our guards were too nice. We need some junk yard dogs.
And Anthony Davis didn’t before UK.

ONE in a Million Juco players go on to be NBA ALL STARS?
UK has not offered or even seriously recruited him. So not sure why everyone is so bent out of shape.
Also, Lol, obviously some of you don’t remember Mychal Mulder, Darnell Dodsen, Josh Harrelson were all juco guys.
Lastly, he played 2 years in D1 before going down to JUCO.
Considering he hasn't even visted here, I would say he is using our name to drum up attention and interest.

Did I have to have a point? maybe I wanted to tell a story? Digger was the coach at Notre Dame at the time, he had previously said, I don't take JC players. After he signed Dantley they asked him about this, he said, Dantley's mother asked me to! Don't be so serious buttercup, you will crap your depends again. Lol
Not much difference in the guards at this level. He shoots better than Wheeler, he is taller than Wheeler, but the most important question is can he guard and stay in front of his man like Cal insists that he does.
It's still odd that we have fallen to this level. If he surrounded Oscar with the best talent at the high school level we would have been hard to stop. We have had 1/2 dozen PGs better than Wheeler and 1/2 dozen power forwards better than Brooks here during Cals time. Give us an elite #1 or #4 and Oscar leads us to a title. Cal's recruiting has slipped.

I don’t get it, they probably aren’t going to be many better scorers in the portal Kentucky to not reach out doesn’t make any sense, he doesn’t have to play wheeler and pack at the same time.

I'm not a Cal defender, but this is over the top. We will be talking to and recruiting kids all summer to build our roster for next year. Hell, we don't even know who's staying or leaving yet. Gotta at least touch base with these kids.
Are we not supposed to find good players in many different places? Transfer, Juco, High school. But because he isn’t a 5 star we now don’t want him. Some of you get pissed when Cal plays the 5 stars and also pissed when we recruit anyone but 5 stars. The truth is before Cal got here we rarely had a bunch of 5 stars so I don’t get where this smugness comes from. I’m sure I’ll get called a Cal sucker or something but I’m just being fair.
He doesn't even reach out to a kid like Pack who has proven it against good comp but reaches out to a Juco kid.
The level of competition is not even close.Take the player who has proven something.
Cal's masterful roster management at his gold standard best....what a dumb *** way to build a team.
We are competing against Clemson BYU South Florida Missouri and Oregon, if we can’t land him we are in more trouble then I thought.
Not the best way to look at it. Should be able to evaluate and decide how it should transfer. Same goes for HS. Isn’t a perfect science but typically can be somewhat projected.
We just lost Cook to Oregon LOL.
Damn just wait we used to battle Duke, Kansas, and North Carolina for recruits now this!
The next list for the next recruit will have Ohio U, Kent State, Bowling Green U, and Eastern Michigan!
You just can’t make this **** up anymore! Hey we don’t have a problem here Cal isn’t burning the program to the ground nothing to see here!
