* The enjoyment of the Chris Rock/Will Smith entanglement lasted about 5 minutes for me before it predictably became insufferable and annoying. Everyone had to get their takes in. No bridge was too far to connect that act to Trump's normalization of violence, or the empowerment of women of color who predominantly suffer from alopecia, or toxic masculinity, or the hypocrisy of both celebrating and condoning violence at the same time, or Black Lives Matter, or blah, blah, blah.

Ugh.

* I'm proud of the Republican party of Kentucky for valiantly standing up for Christian beliefs.

* The NFL is so gd fradulent....

The National Football League set forth new diversity and inclusion efforts for the 2022 season at its annual owners meeting, such as requiring its 32 teams to employ a "female or a member of an ethnic or racial minority" as an offensive assistant, the league said in a statement.

Candidates must have at least three years of collegiate or professional experience in coaching football. Those persons will receive a one-year contract with a salary and benefits, the organization announced

For the roles, the NFL will reimburse teams up to $200,000 in 2022 and $205,000 in 2023 from a league fund for coaches.

"In recent years, head coaches have predominantly had offensive backgrounds," the NFL said. "We believe this resolution will assist greatly in continuing to source and identify diverse candidates earlier in their career, providing pipeline depth and furthering developing the diverse offensive pipeline."

I'm all for diversity, inclusion, equity, etc......but this is nothing more than the Shield's latest attempt at "okay, maybe THIS will shut them up."

nfl story

* Watching The Dropout on HULU. Pretty good stuff. Amanda Seyfreid is underrated (talent-wise as an actress, and as a hottie/baddie), and it's a fantasic reminder that Elizabeth Holmes is a sociopath and a terrible, terrible human being.

* I'll say it --> I like what the Reds are doing. I like the arms we're picking up. I like what I'm seeing/hearing from Hunter Greene and Nick Lodolo.

* Tom Segura is funny.

* Need some basketball roster scuttleass. Go ahead and kick me in the balls now and get it over with.

- Oscar is getting 1st round chatter and he gone
- Wheeler is going to declare, and look forward to a life of foreign obscurity and/or G-League irrelevance
- at least one of our other pieces is entering the portal (Ware or Brooks)

* Reminder to Chris Rock --> don't start none, won't be none.

I'll give him the same leeway as Dave Chappelle and the Alphabet People. When you attack someone, or a group of people, get ready for them to hate you. Luckily, he's one of the all-time greats, and there's a hell of a lot more people that think he's funny than don't.

That's MY insufferable take.

* Lassie's 40th on Friday.

1> I always f this up, and it's never enough
2> a woman's birthday (and HUBER's) last a minimum of 2 weeks

* Top 5 NFTs in GYERO history:

1> We Are All Witnesses
2> anth getting smacked down by Mags
3> the super creepy "Wodie Sloot, what do you want in a man?" post
4> brudjazz "beautiful creatures" comment
5> SueD admitting her cousin got arrested for f'ing a horse

honorable mention: UKO/Babs sext threads, BlueBubbles nudes

* A huge percentage of eligible voters are over the age of 65. Really explains a lot.

Also, I've never been more confident in being registered as a Libertarian. The Ds and Rs are just f'ing awful.

hardcore Christians should be against pot and gambling. They are also the ones who vote no for rural counties to allow the sale of alcohol.

most of you are modern, hipster Christians. Following the ways of the world.

this coming from someone who does not identify as a Christian. If I did though I would vote my morals which wouldn’t include gambling and smoking pot ( I partake in both)

weak republicans allowed the party to turn to this. Fiscal conservatism went away so they had to turn into the Bible thumpers

Care to enlighten us “hipster Christians” of your Biblical references that explicitly prohibit cannabis use?

Not doing it because of its illegality doesn’t count.

Why? Christian take 101, most things that are wrong aren’t wrong enough if your saved. If you aren’t saved then it’s a sin worthy of hell because you aren’t saved.

That is all fact based on something that’s not certain, but would be if you believed.

- RE: Roster re-build:

Please let Wheeler be gone. TIA

What does cannabis do? Why do majority of people smoke cannabis?

I love cannabis and think it should be legal for everyone. I also believe all drugs should be legal for everyone.

Get drunk, get high, and watch porn.

The ticket to the pearly gates.

Maybe I’m more of a Christian than I thought

Last Friday night while at friend’s house I ate a few sativa edibles (my buddy scored from Colorado) and then gamboled on college basketball. As did some of the other couples we were with. The hens didn’t want any action on Providence +6.5 but they seemed to enjoy the gummies paired with some vino.

What a bunch of heathens! How can we parent our kids or be honorable members
of society? I guess we’re a greater harm to
this Commonwealth than the meth lab operators in Clay County.

As long as backwards *** bocephuses like Stivers are running things this state will continue to be doomed.

Portal wish list? Terrence Shannon should be a priority. Maybe even Agbo as well. Mixed feelings about Xavier Pinson. Not a good 3 pt shooter and already bouncing from 2 SEC schools already.

I can’t get myself to care about transfers or next year. Maybe in a couple months?

Ohio passed medical awhile ago, kinda shocked Kentucky hasn’t I had no idea. Once that happens it’s basically legal. Incredibly easy to get a card or know someone who does. Not really even sure what the argument against that is other than money from the bourbon industry. Obviously sports gambling is going to be a hard sell with the horse industry in KY.

I have one simple rule at this point about any potential recruit/transfer. If you are a guard or forward who has no perimeter game, you can kindly eff off.

No bourbon money is against marijuana. As a matter of fact 2 of the biggest producers in the state are testing a marijuana infused bourbon for when it gets legal.

Shannon all/air. Perfecto Cal player.

True 3 & D wing. Experienced & Proven, from an great/tough culture @ Tech. Elite athlete.

Be nice not having to start a natural 4 on wing. We’ve really only had a few legit natural college 3s

Liggins, Miller, MKG. Those teams all have something in common.

Let’s let the rest develop. Will be hundreds (and hundreds?) more enter portal.

Edit: Keldon I suppose. Unfortunately also had Ashton “ leading “.

This is a longshot, but does anyone have any football connections that might be able to get condolences from UK to my friend's son? Kid is an up-and-comer O-lineman in NKY and has been down a few times on visits and been to a few camps. he and dad are/were big Cats fans. No clue if that's something they might do, but might mean a lot to this kid if it's possible.

agree with PTIs NFL hate

why not just point the damn Rooney rule?

and they suddenly include women coaches as part of the “diversity gap?”

ALLLLLL those ladies who have been languishing in silent suppression to chase their dream of becoming an assistant offensive coordinator (assistant TO the offensive coordinator) - can finally line up and spend countless honors next summer helping with the conditioning drills and all the GREAT chick-flick-like film they’re going to watch with burping, farting, drunk and mostly well mannered fellow coaches -

**** - i think the NFL needs to
go further and MAKE sure that whoever the new hires are — they get to call 12% of the plays their team makes (55%) for the women simce thats roughly their representative portion of the population

Now — how do we make SURE the league has enough Chinese and Jewish representatives?

Franchise salary cap managers!!!!!
BRILLIANT!!!!

Shorts:

- Reading Klosterman’s new book The Nineties. It’s outstanding as one might expect.

- Can’t listen to sports podcasts because of Calipari’s ineptitude so been checking out some new Serial-style series. “Tom Browns Body” is excellent- 17 year old high school president and football player in Canadian, Texas disappears mysteriously. Great narration. Now on “Suspect” - not as good but still good, 24 year old woman is murdered after hosting a Halloween party near Seattle.

- Charlatans have been using God and religion hypocritically since the beginning of time. It’s the easiest way to take advantage of people. It’s probably the biggest reason my faith has waned since my Catholic school days. I think we all can agree Baptists are easily the worst.

- Remember years ago, @Century Cat expressed fears Cal was modern day Dean Smith. 👀

- McD AA Game Thoughts:

* Livingston is a 4-man pure and simple. His game is rather rudimentary, north-south drives, little wiggle. But he’s a man already. Physical. Tough. Looks like he’ll get buckets if played at his proper position.

* Just give the ball to F’ing Wallace and let him run the point. Not flashy at all. He’s solid. Good vision. Good passer. Good athlete. Good shooter. Could be an elite defender. Looks closer to 6’2” than 6’4”. We’re going to love this kid.

- Related- another part of modern basketball that Cal doesn’t get is the need to give your best player the ball. F roles. If Herro is your best player, put the ball in his hands. If Quickley is your best player, put the ball in his hands.

- Undecided on watching the Final 4 and rooting interest this weekend. I mean the last thing I want is K winning a title but do I want UNC getting another? F no. Nova is hobbled. F Kansas. What a ****** March.

How do those two fit into what we bring back? If Livingston is a 4, does he play over Toppin? Or do we force him at the 3?

Sounds to me

Wallace
Frederick
Livingston
Toppin
Ware/Collins

obviously depending on the others leaving which I’d assume they’ve all had enough, those that have a place to go.

Oh ye of such faith.

Keion will be back. Keion will start at the 4. Livingston will play a version of Trey Lyles at the 3 because Cal thinks that's what we need. It will be a flop. This is assuming Hopkins isn't back and being forced into minutes at the 3 as well.

What a cluster. This coming season's roster just doesn't make much sense on paper as it is right now. Does Frederick get any real run? Wheeler isn't getting benched if he comes back, so what does that mean for Wallace? Tyty type role?

Obviously all of this is subject to portal change.
