CBS better hope UK fans don't become even MORE apathetic than we are now. UK Basketball has the MOST LOYAL fans in ALL of college basketball. Our games are the MOST watched and we buy the MOST college basketball related attire.

Everyone watches in March, but UK fans watch EVERY game throughout the season.

This is WHY what Cal is doing to our program is not only bad for UK it is also bad for ALL of College basketball. Perception of UK Basketball is at the LOWEST point since Cal arrived. Will all of the disrespect Cal is receiving, spur him to work harder and make the changes necessary to be successful again????
He can't. Tried this year but failed. He is too stuck on himself. I watch so many other coaches having input from the bench coaches but not Cal. They sit there like statues. Chin tries but is ignored.

It was funny during half time of the St. Peter’s game, they advertised the Masters golf tournament and Barkley said Calipari would be playing golf if UK kept playing the way they did in the first half. Then today, Barkley couldn’t remember Calipari on that list that they were talking about.

Grow a pair. It's a damn game. I can't believe we have pansies calling out of work over this.
I think he's a new troll posing as a UK fan. Probably a UL fan. They're the ones that call Cal "Coach Cow" just like this clown does! Pretty obvious when you look up his post history.

The CBS halftime crew was just asking the question of who would carry the torch for leading the coaching fraternity going forward now that coach K is retiring. Pictures of the following coaches were put up, Coach Cal, Jay Wright, Mark Few, Bill Self, Tom Izzy and I believe one other. Both Mark Few and Jay Wright were suggested as being most likely to carry the mantle as top coach. The others were mentioned as less likely contenders. Clark Kellogg even mentioned new head coach for Duke Jon Schyer as a possibility. Coach Cal was the only one to get no mention at all, even though he was shown as the coach with the most overall wins.
I will say this in Cal’s defense. Everyone knows their is jealousy and animosity towards UK basketball, which Coach Cal no doubt brings on, as a result of his ego and arrogance. Still very strange that a Hall of Fane Coach got no mention as being mentioned, as the top coach going forward while the others did.
Why would he, cal hasn’t done anything in four years and hasn’t adapted, the COVID year wasn’t his fault but he still would have found a way to choke that tournament.

That segment was weird, their graphics showing Cal had the most victories of the group. Also they didn't mention he has the highest winning percentage of all the coaches in this years NCAA tourney, which they talked about prior to the tourney. The same crowd existed even in Rupp's day.

Calipari is a running joke everywhere in college basketball outside of Kentucky. We act like he’s some revered figure in CBB but no one is scared of Kentucky anymore. I don’t blame them for forgetting about him.
Everyone wants them on their schedule!!

This .. No one cares about Ky or Cal . Its over folks .. wake the hell up . Like trying to educate liberals . Burning car lots Are " mostly peaceful protest". as the flames roar in the background ... Like living in an alternate universe where truth( success ) is fluid and not measured by any standard
Or like reasoning with Trumpsters. Breaking out windows, busting thru doors, beating up cops, stopping the electoral vote process, and causing an evacuation of the Capitol was just a sightseeing tour.
Or like a Presidential election that is certified by every single state in America and upheld by every single court in the land including the US Supreme Court....but it was stolen.
Poster child events for alternate reality.

Clark Kellogg has always struck me as a dude whose disdain for Kentucky is *just* below the surface. He hides it well but there are small tells here and there in the way he answers a question or goes silent on certain things.

That being said, timing could not be worse for Cal for a discussion like that to be had. Stats wise, he is an obvious choice but recency bias (which is extremely pertinent in a made for tv discussion like that) likely plays a part.

If we were playing next weekend and been dominant they would have mentioned him. Cal has made his own bed by choking so much with so much talent. Get another ship or two and he'll get more respect.

The actions of a few thousand people on one day or the actions of 10s of thousands for an entire summer ? which is more anchored in reality and which was overblown ? How many 1000s of windows were broken and how many buildings destroyed by BLM compared to 1 day on Jan 6th ? Whatever your mind is closed to a larger truth that Jan 6th was used by the liberal media to fire foolish people up .. I recently talked to a group of guys that were there . 2 RN's .. an MD and a medical sales guy . They showed me their video's . Said it was nothing .. nothing like what was reported . But you go ahead and do you , you have the right to be wrong in this country .

PS Its. moronic you bring up " beating up Cops" when your " side" routinely threw water bottles , thrash , rocks and in general treated the men/women in blue like lepers , or even worse . Hell your party tried to defund every police district they could , and you bring up unkind actions towards there police ? There very definition of disconnected from reality .

Cal will forever be remembered as a coach so arrogant he ended his own relevancy 10 years early. What a stubborn fool.

Athletes can finally be paid, players can transfer anywhere at any time, legendary coaches are retiring, and Cal with this window of opportunity is still testing his ego rather than taking advantage of the circumstances.

That would be frozen water bottles...and who was it that was killed on Jan 6th with zero charges filed. You can't fix stupid. And now look where we are.

Months ago Nike started positioning few to be the new face of college basketball and the one to inherit golden child status. He went from coaching a bunch of cohesive over achievers to suddenly coaching for usa basketball and simultaneously getting insanely highly touted guys.

Remember....Nike runs USA basketball and most every coach associated with it was magically getting incredible recruits.

The only real question is will few stay at Gonzaga or just transition to Duke?

You bring up a very good point. It used to be kind of fun to be us against the world when Cow was winning a lot of games and going to the final four. But now it’s just getting exhausting because everyone hates us even more and he’s not winning at all. I just wish cow would go away.

Why should he get a mention? Cal is a fraud. His offense is archaic and needs superior talent to even get it to run. Our defense may be worse. Teams speak us out and high ball screen. Straight line drives or lobs to post. Most Kentucky fans fail to see his imperfections and inability to draw any play be it an inbound or post and give and go. His record indicates this. How is it that far inferior teams beat us in the NCAA? The reason? Grind it out, Val said as much this year after Texas AM. He wants to play this way and this reduces your skill players to their competition. Really sad what has happened here.

Johnny Jones could outcoach the current version of Cal.
Many years ago, after myself playing in high school and college, I helped coach a MIDDLE SCHOOL girls team. Even we ran plays, worked on defense and shooting, etc. I wasn't that great, but I could probably do as good, or better, than Cal has done. And that is NOT bragging on myself, but just how BAD he is.
