- Obviously a **** call, but helluva OOB play there at the end when Brooks got the offensive foul.

Among his many quirks, not having OOB plays is one of Cal’s more annoying.

- Cats have been screwed by injuries and the SEC schedule.

- Our guards are way too good for that ******** yesterday.

- The Keion Brooks rollercoaster should be featured at Cedar Point.

- Ready for some neutral courts and warmer weather.

- Maybe one of these SEC teams will actually be able to do something anything away from their cosy home courts but I’ll believe it when I see it. I hate the SEC.

He's missed basically half the games since going 17, 15 and 28 in early January. Feel like that's a fairly significant contributing factor for a guy being in a slump. Especially a guy like Tyty. But I guess he's going to be your Herro this year.

I didn’t write that post. Just found it interesting and thought others may, too. We’re all aware of the injuries- which was even addressed in said post.

I think our half court offense has been a struggle all year. Team looks significantly better in transition. Grady gets better looks, wheeler can slice up a D, and usually quicker, more open shots.

Watching St Mary’s play in a gym that is smaller than my high school’s is a trip.

Maybe it’s being a Kentucky fan or whatever but you have this expectation of D-1 schools being these huge operations and then you see St Mary’s and they probably have a concession stand that’s a folding table in the lobby laid out with Snickers bars and a metal cash box.

Always good to wake up and see the crazy dictator that has started a land war in Europe has now activated his nuclear arsenal.

There are, and have been, concerns about Putin's mental stability degrading in recent years. He had a cancerous tumor removed a few years ago, and is supposedly in the early stages of Parkinson's. He reportedly has reduced his circle of influence and isolated himself since covid. Dude doesn't seem to care that he's going to be remembered as a tyrant.

Oh good, we’re at the “only way to avoid nuclear war is to have someone in Putin’s inner circle assassinate him” stage. Keep in mind he apparently has been isolating himself recently.

Hey @PTI (pti) - before we die can you admit that Phil M has been cancelled?

It is to the Ukrainian people.

You keep ignoring that point for some reason.

You can’t look at that way. Ukraine is a small country of little strategic importance to us. Seven years ago they had a pro-Russian government that was overthrown with a pro Western government. It’s a volatile country that has been struggling with internal fighting for a long time. I respect them for now fighting for their lives against Russia, but I don’t think we should risk WW3 over them.

I don’t think anyone is advocating for WW3 around here. But you seem bent on dismissing what people are saying about Putin/Russia in all this and it kind of comes off as appeasement.

if I’m wrong that’s cool but it does kind of sound like that.

What it boils down to is if you have a guy with a big sword in a room threatening everyone to use it if he doesn’t get his way because he’s used it before you really shouldn’t go “hey, let’s hear this guy out! I’m sure he’s got legit concerns!”.

"How is Austria important to us?" - Wayne 1938
Well if you are taking that route, and by no means is this defending Wayne, it is often regarded by historians that the only reason we won either War in Europe is because we waited so long to get involved and the axis armies were spread to thin.

The ghost of Boris Nemtsov and the poisoned husk of Alexei Navalny are totally on board with Putin facing the firing squad in a basement.

Putin is isolating himself because he is well aware of Russia’s tradition of cannibalizing its oppressors. See Tsar Nicholas, Stalin, et al. Let’s go, inner circle. Paging Novichok.

It's not widely regarded as the only reason we won. A few historians may believe it is the only reason we won, but most realize it was a contributing factor.

I'm also not in favor of sending troops to Ukraine, so don't get that mixed up. That doesn't mean we can't support them in other ways, as we are doing. It also doesn't reduce the significance of a free and sovereign Ukraine.

Comparing Putin to Hitler and Nazi Germany to Russia is very dishonest and weak-minded at this point. You don’t see me out here saying these sanctions are equivalent to the treaty of Versailles in terms of economic harm that will lead the Russians to want to go to war.

Ukraine is the 9th most corrupt country in the world. The leadership has always been shady af. Russia is too btw. Let’s not sit here and pretend that Russia is doing this to say, Finland or something.

Putin invading Ukraine in 2022 is similar to Hitler's takeover of Austria in 1938 for many reasons. To deny that shows you either don't know what you are talking about, or you are just trolling for an argument.

Learning from history is also crucial to winning wars and sustaining empires.
