Just got home from a near death experience (the dog, not me). Took him to the park with my lass. Gorgeous day out, and let him off leash to play in the snow.......and then of course he takes off like a bat out of hell chasing after a flock of geese....then another flock....then another flock...
...I run after him and see he's chased them until he's run out on a partially frozen pond and fallen into the water. I get there in time to see him clawing his way back onto the solid ice. Luckily we all survived, but I did get a very stern "THERE'S A LEASH LAW FOR A REASON, SIR" from one of the park employees that happened to be riding by in a golf cart.
Ugh.
