Alabama has played for or won the National Championship 8 times from '09-20. (6 Championships, 2 Runner Ups). Saban has a little more credence in talking this way when fans are upset with a 10-1 team entering the Iron Bowl and having clinched SEC West with shot at another College Football Playoff Appearance with an extremely young team.

Well...Alabama is coming off a national title. We're coming off a losing 9-16 season. So yeah, I think one group of fans have a reason to complain. Sorry to tell any coach, you're going to have people say stuff you don't like. That's why they pay you millions. Anytime they can't handle the pressure they can quit. It's not China, yet.
Let's go to the 3 year rule that CFB has and see if that makes a difference.
You must be stupid to not know the difference in college football and basketball. Football players cannot go pro until 3 years after their high school class graduates. Basketball is 1 year. Might want to know the rules before posting.
Saban gets to keep kids until they are least juniors. Plus, it is football.

It might make a difference and it may not. Everyone’s players would be staying three years. It would be interesting to see if Cal would implement a structured offense and maybe some inbounds plays, zones etc.
Saban is still playing under the same rules as everyone else and dominating them. In his sport you lose one game and you’re chances of a championship are greatly reduced.

It’s not surprising though, the fact some people think Calipari can’t coach tells me all I need to know about their competency in commenting on college athletics.
