Thinking a Longhorn win would be good for the season. Lord if not we get to hear the undefeated talk from there all year.
Dook Gonzaga play sometime soon don’t they? Just looked it up they play in Vegas Nov 26th.
Really torn on this one.. of course I want Duke to lose, but they won't go undefeated. Gonzaga might, though. And a Duke win kind of tells us that losing to them by a few points isn't the biggest deal.
I never want to see another team go undefeated, when we were sooooo close.. but I certainly don't want it to be a team from the WCC.
I don't dislike this Duke team as much as the ones in the past. Whereas I can't stand the Gonzaga teams of late.
Hmmm ... let's see if the Zags can get past Texas, UCLA, Duke, Alabama, Washington, Texas Tech and others in their OOC before the "undefeated" talk starts. Unless you think it's a given that Gonzaga will sweep away those schools.

I would love it if Gonzaga could go ahead and lose tonight. Rather than 6 months of "Is this their year?"
Zags never play true road games against anyone outside the wack conference, and consequently fold like a chair when the pressure is greatest, simply because they never experience true adversity until it's too late.

But if Gonzaga doesn't lose to Duke, who else are they losing to in the regular season?
I do see they have some other tough games.. but once they hit the WCC, that's probably it until late in the tournament.
They'll drop one, regular season, conf tournament, or ncaa tournament

Yeah, I’m gonna need Texas just to go ahead and win this game and shut the west coast up for awhile. With Oregon in the CFP, UCLA seemingly back, and Zags playing in a high school conference, the crowing from the west coast will be God awful from months.

Hmmm, the asterisks (*) indicates campuses (ie true road games) the Zags HAVE visited. Add Kansas to the (*) list when GU visits Phog next season.
And FWIW, Gonzaga has defeated Baylor*, Illinois*, Virginia*, Duke, North Carolina*, Kansas, UCLA*, Arizona*, Creighton*, Oklahoma, Florida State, Texas A&M*, Oregon, Iowa, West Virginia*, Auburn, USC, and Washington* over just the past three seasons.

Huh? Gonzaga won a National semi-final game in both of their Final Fours ... then in the Title game(s) lost on a blown call to the Tar Heels and lost by 16 to Baylor.
Seems to me if what you say has any semblance whatsoever of being "correct" about 356 (out of 357) D1 schools "choke" every year.

When those photos were taken, Gonzaga was still a decade (ie 10 years) away from having their first ever Top 25 recruiting class. And a decade and a half (ie 15 years) away from recruiting their first McDonald's All American out of high school.
Now the Zags often have 3 McDonald's All Americans on the floor at the same time. Kids that chose Gonzaga, KNOWING what conference GU plays in.

Good point. Gonzaga's zero titles matches the TOTAL from other weak conferences (ie Big Can't Count past 10 and Pac 12) the last 20 years. But their (the Zags) best days still lie ahead. Not sure if I can say the same about the 26 big time P5 schools from those 2 "big time" conferences
